This article takes at look at 10 of the worst games that have somehow managed to actually get to the number 1 spot and some of their reasons as to why these games are so bad.

Number one. By it's very definition it should characterize top drawer excellence. But when it comes to the game charts we know that's not always the case. Here we present the very worst games - the absolute crud of the crop - that have made it to the heady heights of number one in the US and UK since 2005.

Actually, there's one game on that list that i disagree with and that's Dirge of Cerberus.

Out of all the games on that list, that one is actually a decent game and a good spin-off to FFVII.

The rest are utter crap though and i have no idea myself as to how they got to number 1.

i agree, DoC wasnt that bad. actually kinda fun, what with being able to mix and match gun parts AND even add Materia onto them, that was pretty awesome.

I also agree, while its no Resident Evil 4 by any means, it was a decent and fun game.

Exactly what i was thinking. Dirge was a good game to play for a while.

I'm sorry but other than slapping several games on a chart and adding an un-needed jab at the game, what exactly is this meant to prove other than the fact that Games Radar have gone downhill along with the rest of the games media and just throwing any old shite out there these days?

The only games I've played on those two lists are PoTC: At world's end...which wasn't bad at all and Transformers...which was a good concept but just so repetitive.

As to how they got to number 1...Pokemon and Mario are no brainers. In fact they are all no brainers...they all became number 1's because the majority of them are movie based games. The rest are either sport or racing.

Games Radar have merely just slapped 10 US and 10 UK games in a list that have a lower than average ranking than other games since 2005. They give no actual reason as to why they are there.

Damn, I was gonna come in here and say that DoC was pretty cool too... Wasn't perfect, but I really enjoyed it.

Can you really use the word 'worst' when every game mentioned seems to have an average score of 50% upwards? There's no actual reasons provided either. The attempted jabs don't really explain anything, so it's basically the same as pointing a game out and going 'lolsux'.

The writer of the article seems to have a strong dislike for Pokémon too - he puts those games in three times.

Pokemon gets a fair few mentions up there. Some of those games really did blow.

also, Wii Play is barely even able to be considered a game. its just some vague activities designed to learn to use the Wii remote better.
