The Gamer's Edition of Guinness World Records, and a group of "industry experts", have recently listed the top 50 Most Influential Games Of All Time.
Many gamers might find most of the picks rather ... debateable.
Go to the source for the full list.

Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief, Craig Glenday, said of the selection process: "We knew this would be a complex task so we invited a crack team of industry experts to form a judging panel - and the result is a "top 50" list of games ranked both on their importance and on how fun they are to play."

I would love to know who was on their team, because their picks are just friggin insane.

I don't see the need in creating a list such as this, it will never agree with everyone. Even a list based entirely on sales figures would be deceiving. The only good thing for it is for someone to find what you might call a classic game.

It's probably the most mainstream game out at the moment, only Wii Sports and COD4 could really challenge it.

It could be one of them, because it really has started all kinds of racing games copying some of its ideas. It's wicked fun too.
