Top 10 Worst Dressed RPG characters

This article is a humorous piece on the Top 10 worst dressed characters in RPGs. Some really ugly (and sometimes creepy) images are shown all throughout.

We all know RPG characters often have bad fashion sense. From the women who wear bikinis into battle, to the men who wear more colors than you can see in a rainbow, they just can’t seem to be able to get an outfit together. However, some characters show legendary ineptness in dressing themselves. They are so absolutely awful, you just have to laugh at them and wonder what the character designers were thinking.

    Wow, a lot of them are kind of bizarre. Vaan looked especially odd on the PS2 in my opinion. Something about his abs just seemed so... fake or something. I wouldn't say Sora is that bad in KH1/CoM/Re-CoM, after all it is firstly a Disney based game. Although a little silly from the Disney side of things, I think he looks kind of cool, but I spose there is no comparison with KH2 Sora.

    I guess the Tales and Final Fantasy series are trying to make themselves unique. They should think of something that looks cool, not... creepy.

    Somehow I knew Tidus and Vaan were going to be on this list. I always thought they had interesting clothes. Sora just looks like an idiot, along with everyone else on Kingdom Hearts.

    I don't really mind the ridiculous outfits characters wear, it makes them more unique. There is a limit of course.

    Anyhow, 99% of the female video game characters wear impractical clothing....

    Girl1 - "Yeah, I'm wearing a bikini-like outfit to an arena battle, I should be fine right?"
    Girl2 - "Sure thing, don't you know that is the best armor to be wearing in this psychotic reality?"
    Girl3 - "Really? So....less is more?"
    Girl2 - "Pretty much."
    Girl3 - *strips naked*
    Girl2 - "That never occured to me. If skimpy clothing is the best armor, than no clothing would have to be indestructible!"
    Whole cast of females - *strips*

    They'll then to proceed to easily win the battle for their side....Not sure if it is because of the indestructible naked flesh, or because the males in-game just couldn't pay attention to the fact they were also trying to chop them in half with swords as big as they are....

    Ah, one of the few good lists. I'm glad Albel was number 1, it makes me feel better about how I kept changing opinion on whether he was male or female throughout the game (for some time I thought he was woman who just had a fetish for being called him and he XD)

      I don't think I ever had a problem deducing his gender TBH.

        It's probably because I don't play much JRPGs then, or at least ones with a lot of androgynous looking characters (which I suppose would be most of them ), so I'm just not used to them.

          Admittedly, I watch anime and read manga too....

          I won first place at my old anime club's 'guess the gender' quiz XD

          I only got like 50% or 60% actually >_>

    It's too bad they had to rag on Legendia, since I actually dug Chloe Valens' getup. But yeah, too many designs look like they were trying too hard.

      I have to say that the characters in TOL (Other than Moses) aren't dressed very badly if you ask me.
