Some games are just so amazing they deserve a second bite at the apple. Unfortunately the way the modern world works sometimes they don't get it. Here's 10 games that definitely do.

If you saw last years line up of games, you would have noticed a LOT of sequels came out. Far Cry 2, Gears of War 2, GTA IV, Call of Duty 5, Fallout 3... the list seemed endless! Some were good, some only average. Some may have tarnished the reputation of their series beyond repair. It's just the risk developers take when they choose to continue a tried-but-true game type.

That said, there’s no denying that everyone loves sequels. Even if it’s just for an extension of the storyline and nothing new in terms of gameplay, players still want to see “what happens next” in their favourite gaming universes. We even find ourselves wishing that some stories could just go on forever.

In the world of Video Games more then any other, this is often not possible.

The gaming industry is notoriously unstable; developers and their companies can close down in the blink of an eye, even if their games appeared successful. And though it's never nice to see a business go under, as long their game is a complete, stand-alone package with all loose ends tied up, players can deal with it. Just means no more official patches or content will come out.

Unfortunately the “To Be Continued Dot Dot Dot Question Mark” ending is becoming almost too common, especially in recent titles, meaning more and more games are left unfinished or incomplete in terms of story. What happens if they don’t sell enough? We’ll never find out how it ends! Gamers live in constant fear of one day receiving the message: “We regret to inform you that this company has shut down, and no sequel to explain that cliff hanger ending will ever be made. Suck it.”

Far too many good games have fallen victim to this, despite deserving sequels more then most. In this article, I’ll be looking at a few of the ones I’d like to see continued, or perhaps remade for today's next-gen series.

It was hard to pick, but I think I narrowed them down. And the best thing about it was I discovered a few I really wanted have already been confirmed (Beyond Good and Evil 2, American McGee’s Alice, yay!) So don’t fret if some of your favourite series aren’t here. Chances are there might actually be a sequel or remake on the way!

They are old because the list is about those games that never got their sequel. To get that status means they will have needed to be around for a little while.

Deadly strike I say, a not very well known game but incredibly fun. Bit short though if you ask me I finished it in under three hours.
