The Playstation 2 recently was reduced in price to $99, so Gaming Dungeon is looking at what the essential games for the system are. This week they look at action-adventure games in part two of their "PlayStation 2 Games You Need to Buy" feature.

In week two of our “PS2 Games You Need to Buy” feature, we are going to look at action-adventure games. Action-Adventure games are not the easiest games to categorize, but I’ll briefly go over what we consider action-adventure. An action-adventure game features action; through jumping, fighting, and the like; and adventuring, that is, exploring the environment. Action-Adventure and 3D platformers can be confused sometimes, but 3D platformers more prominently feature collecting and jumping, while action-adventure games generally have some RPG elements. Now that you know what kinds of games this list will consist of, here we go.
