Popular Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu recently held a reader survey asking which sequels people would like to see most, and we have the results.

We're not normally ones for top lists, but hey, this is highly democratic!

    ZOE deffinately. I'd love to see ZOE 4 on PS3. I bet it'd look amazing as well.

    Great to see a mix of classic and current-generation franchises on the list; very pleasantly surprised to see how high Breath of Fire ended up on the list! I've always had a soft spot for the series, having played through all the titles including the very unique Dragon Quarter. Nice to see Lufia up there as well!

    Well since this is a Japanese poll with Japanese games I haven't even heard of nearly all of these games.

    My #1 most wanted sequel - Legacy of Kain [6] damn it!!

    Valkyria Chronicles! Valkyria Chronicles! Although they may have trouble fitting it in the current timeline and all. It's probably safe to say that they would probably have to go a decent length into the future or do what Final Fantasy/Ace Combat has done and create another story in another place and go from there.

    Lost Odyssey would be sweet too but again, story would be a problem I think, along with Infinite Undiscovery.

    There are simply games that sequels would be so awesome for, but would never work without some epic amounts of figuring out so it fits nicely.

    Its a good list for the ones that i recognize. a 3rd Chror game would be pretty cool. Id love to see a megaman legends 3, x9 is understandable since x 8 left so much stuff unanswered. mother i can see why since i know alot of people who want the 3rd one to reach america. Alot of good games that i would love to see sequals too.

    Seriously, I want a sequel to Okami. That would be awesome, I loved the first game. And of course I want more Chrono and Mother.

    I don't recognize a fair few of those, but I guess a lot of them either never left Japan, or are very niche titles.

    Okami, Z.O.E and ShadowHeart sequels would be great though

    if mother 3 proved anything - it was that we dont need any more mother games.

    and shenmue is horrible. i can load up darkbasic, then smack my balls against my keyboard for 14 seconds and end up with a better game than shenmue.

      That sentance makes me unsure as to whether you hated MOTHER 3 or thought that the ending tied the series up nicely.

    I doubt we're getting an Okami sequel, Clover split from Capconm remember? If that wasn't enough Capcom after porting the game to the Wii said that they wouldn't be considering a sequel unless it sold a lot more.
    And even if it did, I have my doubts as to whether Capcom would call on Platinum Games to help make it or just do it themselves, and tbh I'd rather have no Okami 2 than have it go Resident Evil and find itself a completely different genre or something.
    If they were to get Platinum on board however then hell yes for an Okami sequel, still stands as one of my favourite games of all time.

    I SO want a sequel to TWEWY,Okami,and Golden sun:the lost age!

    All those games are great,and a sequel would be great! BTW,the DS needs a golden sun game .

    Although there is much of a story to continue from.
    From all the stuff I've been hearing about Mother I'd now like to see a sequel.

    I don't care much for the others.

    I don't know hardly any games on that list, let alone want a sequel for them.
