Mother's Day is just around the corner so Kotaku have decided to celebrate the mothers in gaming. Here are The Best And Worst Mothers In Video Games ....

Mothers have it tough in video games – they get killed off, turned evil, or their children leave the nest to save the world. And their kids probably don't call home often enough.

In honor of Mother's Day, we celebrate moms in gaming – from the bit parts to the big players. Some are examples of the best parenting you could imagine; and some are so evil, they're unfit to be called "Mom." Join us now as we separate the June Cleavers from the Joan Crawfords of video game mothers.

    I didn't see Ash's mom from Pokemon Red and Blue. I thought that she was a pretty good mom.

      All Pokemon mothers were terrbile D:
      They didn't give you anything for your journey except maybe some stuff to get you away from them faster.

      She let the kid go out and try to capture dangerous creatures who could have ripped his head off at their whim when he was ten. Anytime he came home she banished him to go to sleep and didn't say anything else.

Oh, and whenever you come back I'll just throw some food at you, but I won't actually show any form of love until you become the champion, and even then it won't be much.     Mother's day was a couple of months ago here, must be at different times around the world I think. What about mother from the alien films. Man. That wasnt a good mum. Not even close. Getting everyone killed by aliens, and not letting them play x box or smoke indoors
