Koku Gamer looks at the Top 5 games that would make great MMO's. On the list are some of the most famous names such as Mario, Pokemon as well as Star Craft. Great read if you're a MMO fan.

MMORPGs entered the mainstream with the popularization of World of Warcraft, and for the first time western game publishers saw the opportunity to make money in a market once deemed too small. Sadly, these same publishers didn’t take into account that it was Blizzard who had made the game, and that its success wasn’t due to its subject matter (run-of-the-mill fantasy) but instead because of Blizzard’s outstanding work as a developer.

Pretty good list imo. The problem is pulling them off effectively. Games like that would really need a lot of care and dedication to be pulled off correctly, otherwise they'd fall face first into the ground.

Quick, someone get in contact with Blizzard!

Seriously if we could get a Pokemon MMO on the PC I think it would absolutely kick the shit out of World of Warcraft as long as the right people designed it.

I think a Pokemon MMO would actually suck.

Think about it. It would be equivalent to World of Warcraft with the only available class being Hunter, and you can't even fight, only your pets can.

I think it would still end up being very popular, but, in terms of quality, it would probably be another, mediocre WOW Clone.

Also, I don't see how a Racing MMO could ever exist. Wouldn't it just be another racing game? That doesn't make complete sense to me. It's like saying COD4 is an MMOFPS.
