Here's a list that many Resident Evil fans will disagree with. Maybe not so much the characters that are on the list, but the order that they are placed in.
Go to the source for the Top 10 Women Of The Resident Evil Series...

I was 19 when Capcom released the first Resident Evil, fresh out of high school and in my gaming prime. I liked zombies and I needed a new game, so I popped it in to my Playstation and I have never looked back since. A true RE fan for life. Since 1996 both the video game and movie series have introduced us to some bonafide hotties. Here is a list of the Top 10 Ladies of Resident Evil (both pixilated and real). You can disagree if you want and you can think I'm a freak. It's a free country and I am.

I would have placed either Alice or Ada as first. I mean, I got tired of the constant "LEONNN!!!" in RE4...

Seriously? Claire only barely made it to the top five? Wow...GG's right, I sure as hell disagree with their order. Must be some RE4 fanboy that did this.

yeah this list is complete bullshit. no way in hell is Alice better than Jill. absolutely not. maybe the author did the list in order of hotness, which is a dumb way to do it (in which case he is a massive pedo cause he put Ashley at the top), it should be in order of how awesome they are. Alice should never have been created, she is just a horrible character. the movies would be a lot better if they had never made her, just use actual game characters only.

    here is the correct list:

    1. Jill
    2. Ada
    3. Claire
    4. Rebecca
    5. Sheva
6-10 put whatever you want (aka Ashley from RE4\movie characters which no one cares about)

I laughed like mad *bleep* when I saw Ashley on the first place.

Seriously, was a RE4 fanboy the author?

    Hahahahaha.

I don't think the writer is so much a RE4 fanboy but judging by some of his remarks is someone who determines ranking by how sexy the characters are. The decision to put Ashley as No1 really says something about his tastes though.

As far as movie characters go, Rain is really the only one that should've been mentioned. Michelle Rodriguez played a damn good role. As for Milla Jovovich...well they couldn't make her interesting even as a secret agent.

Overall, I'll just pretend that this list never existed...because it doesn't...

Wow. Whoever made this list is one of the most clueless people in the world. Did they not know about Resident Evil until 4 or 5 years ago, haha.

Ashley should not be first. Maybe 7th or so, and thats being generous. Alice shouldn't be on the list at all. She is the main character of one of the worst movie series ever.

    My top three:

    1. Jill Valentine
    2. Claire Redfield
    3. Ada Wong

THOSE THREE SHOULD ALWAYS BE TOP THREE (in any order). I also think Sheva is pretty awesome. Definitely 4th for me.

ya, if those 3 arent in the top 3, you are not an RE fan. i had Ada above Claire in mine but she's sexy and badass. Jill just has to be 1st place though.

    The real top 3:
    Claire Redfield
    OLD JILL VALENTINE (pre-RE5)
    Ada

If Adult Sherry comes out on Darkside chronicles I'll just wait and see if she's good or not.
Then again blonde girls in test tubes didn't exactly work out in RE5.....

EDIT: Oh my god, like 7 years after it's release and I just know learned Alice's last name -.-

Also RE4 came out 11 years ago? o_0

I definitely agree with everyone here. Although I personally quite like Milla Jovovich, she does not deserve to be so high on that list.

Shannenigans! Claire should have been #1. Ashley shouldn't even be in the list tbh.

well theres only so many female characters in RE.

There any female infected? That'd be a good choice. How about from the CG film, Leon's supposed love interest? xD

Don't forget the girls from RE: Outbreak.
And the crazies like Alexia and Lisa. (Those two heaps more memorable than Ashley, imo).

oh yeah that Angela chick i think her name was. she was only a 1 time deal so is she really considered an RE girl? she was ok but i still like the other girls better.

          Lisa Trevor was hawt.
She was so hawt she had to wear a bag over her face so sinful mortals wouldn't view it and disgrace her.

And Alexia was hot to. BOTH forms of her =D

Angela hardly contributed to RE. She was basically the damsel in distress while Leon had to get her out of danger throughout the entire movie. She tends to stand still when she's about to die, razor sharp reflexes for a trained spec ops, you see. While Claire's (only) action scene involves her landing 4 headshots in a row (badass).

That being said, a little love for the Outbreak women: Alyssa (in her red dress and stiletto heels), Cindy (in her bunny costume), and Yoko...well there's not much TO Yoko tbh.

the Outbreak women? oh please. no one except you even remembers them, let alone those games because they were awful. very odd for Capcom to suddenly make up a bunch of new characters and call it an RE game.

...besides the fact that Outbreak's gameplay was based on the classic gameplay? Not to mention that the 4 player co-op helped. It's almost ironic that the Outbreak series was more RE than the new games. Having strangers has nothing to do with it.

Besides, I'm sure I'm not the only one with memories from playing RE: O and File 2 for a couple of years.

I enjoyed playing as random characters in Outbreak. They weren't really supposed to be amazing characters... they were just regular people stuck in the middle of a shitty situation. It was kinda nice seeing the zombie outbreak from regular people's point of view.
Tbh, the only reason the game wasn't as successful as previous REs was because the main draw of the game - online console play - was only in it's infancy when Outbreak was released. I reckon a new Outbreak game in this gen would be ridiculously popular (provided it's free).

I loved outbreak tbh. I really don't get why everyone hated the game. Sure it had crappy ai but Sheva is even crappier in RE5.

I agree with Gothic Girl, online especially in a game like RE was still brand new and I think that for it's time, Capcom did a great job of it. (a few misses but still)

Outbreak 2 was a joke. Then again, no DLC at the time....still..inexcusable.

the main reason for the hate was the sudden switch to the new characters that had no depth or anything interesting about them compared to the RE favorites from before. also because the AI was horrible, and i remember it when i was playing that your teammates were dumb as shit. even Sheva was a better AI than they were. so you had to play with other ppl or else it was unplayable. at least RE5 is playable without a partner albeit thats due in large part to the fact that Chris kicks ass and has access to tons of guns.

also it was impossible to communicate with your teammates when you played online, so if they made a new Outbreak, they would have several vital things to improve or else it would be as shit as the PS2 ones were.

Outbreak blew huge balls. Lets just get that out there. If you enjoyed those titles, then you must have been just starving for ANY sort of RE title at the time.

The offline campaign was impossible due to the idiotic teammates, and the multiplayer was so flawed with its limitations, especially when it came to communication. The game failed, and trust me, I was aniticpating that game more than most people.

That's YOUR opinion. I still like outbreak and it's concept even today.
My opinion is that Outbreak is an excellent game with an even better concept.

I'd rather play that than RE5 tbh.

Yeah, if anything we should blame RE4 for the new change. Though I still enjoyed RE5, I would take RE2 over it and RE4 anyday.

cause of the whole thing with Sheva and it being in daylight for the whole game. i really liked RE4 anyway, it was darker than RE5, although the inventory system is better in RE5 IMO.

          dwg14390 Jul 9, 09
Were not blaming RE5 for the change, more like the lack there-of. RE4 was a great game, sure a terrible RE game, but a fantastic action game. RE5 is basically a mod of 4. IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME!

5 years, 400 people and next gen consoles and the game is just a rehash of RE4 with co-op. Umbrella Chronicles was better imho.

well despite it being vastly different from previous games, RE4 did sell very well ya know, across all 3 platforms it was on (GCN, PS2 and Wii). and last i heard, RE5 sold pretty well too, despite it being as you say, not much more than a mod of 4. just goes to show there are many kinds of RE fans: some who like the classic gameplay, some who like the new action type gameplay and some like myself who like both and just wanna kick zombie ass.

          dwg14390 Jul 10, 09
But there not even zombies anymore!

And as for RE5 succeeding, I believe the hype Capcom has pulled of worked wonders. This game was hyped, and several times over thought to be GotY by several people. Now......now it's just......whatever.

The game sold well, good. The game in general was a good blockbuster. Thats it. Not what I expected from Resident Evil. Now here's hoping that RE6 is actually something different.

@ dwg14390: You can go ahead and think that, but your opinion is twisted and wrong. There was almost nothing positive about the Outbreak titles, but hey, thats why we have that select video game audience that appreciates crappy titles.
        • 0
          Seeker X Jul 9, 09
Must be a HUGE select audience. Seeing as Outbreak sold about 1.45 million copies. Which single handedly beats REmake, RE: CVX, DMC3, RE0, MH: Freedom, etc sales.

I am terribly terribly sorry that I don't follow your suite and hate RE outbreak.
It is incredibly twisted and wrong of me to like something you don't like.

This....this is why the world is as it is today.

My opinion is just as good as anyones, I know the flaws of the game and I still like. I found it refreshing, I liked the concept of ordinary survivors, and basically outbreak was the beta L4D.

So don't say my opinion is wrong. If you loved RE5 I won't say your opinion is wrong so stuff it.

How is an opinion of something I like wrong?
