Mike Got Game! has put together a list of the top video games that he wants to see on other gaming platforms. See what they are and why he wants them there.

Admit it: you may be happy with your console choice right now, but somewhere in the back of your mind, you keep hoping that a game you thoroughly loved would end up in (insert console here). You know what? I think about the exact same thing, which is why I’ve put together a short list of games that I’m aching to see and play on other platforms.

Gears Of War's contract with Microsoft is up, it's probably going to go multi-plat.

Contract? Microsoft owns all publishing rights, the only way it'd come to the PS3 is if Microsoft FORFEITED all publishing rights.

      so keep dreaming.

I thought the contract ended with Gears 2. Any source?

Street Fighter IV Wii please. And a main series Final Fantasy game on a Nintendo system that is not a remake. Not necessarily XIII or XIV, but how about XV?

With Nintendo getting Dragon Quest IX and X, I really wouldn't complain, but I can see where you're coming from.

Street Fighter IV Wii would be awesome. Capcom has considered it, but they've said they'll do if there's an audience, which I guess means "Let's see how Tatsunoko vs. Capcom does internationaly".

Both Gears and Halo are free from their contracts with Microsoft I believe, but I don't think Microsoft is willing to part ways with them so easily. They're 360's main money makers.

Nop. The WHOLE Halo IP is owned by MS I believe. MS own a part of the GOW IP as well, not all. Like one cant make the game without the others confirmation. I don't think MS would let their 2 flagship titles just slip, like you said.

It almost made it to DS(Halo almost did) And it looked pretty darn good as well.

I want Resident Evil 4 on the 360 or PS3 with updated graphics, screw Resi-Evil 5.

Yeah, MS allowed it on DS because MS is not in the hand-held market. So it was good cash for them. Yeah it did look pretty good and it would have sold a lot IMO if it made release. Sadly it was cancelled for some reason.

They don't own the IP for Gears they own all publishing rights for it, therefore it will no way be released on the PS3.

The developers might be free from the contracts, but I'm pretty sure Microsoft still owns both franchises.

Yeah, although Halo Wars was an upset.

I'd love to see Killzone come to the 360 so I can play with my 360 friends. I normally just play it while in a party on my 360.

Star of Spurs Jul 12, 09
God of War wouldn't be bad for 360, would probably get Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance and MGS4 if they came to 360 as well.

I'm almost certain that the original Gears/Halo games will never be on any other non-Microsoft systems. Note the word 'original' - like the MGS series, a new, unrelated to the actual series game could appear, although it would take a huge amount of money and some poor working at Microsoft.

Smash Bros on DS? that wouldnt work at all, for that game you need a strong controller you can really grip, like a GCN controller. plus how could you do 4 player, ive not heard of the DS being able to hook up with 4 players over wireless. i know you can in Pictochat, but for gaming?

What handheld have you been playing? The DS has always been capable of 4 way multiplayer. Super Mario 64 DS was only the first in a long line of games to offer 4 player support. Hell, the Gameboy Advance could manage 4 way multiplayer over a wired connection and that was last gen.

Even though it's not out yet, I'm going to go ahead and say that I'd like to see Splinter Cell: Conviction on the PS3. That game looks amazing.

I'd also really, really, really, really love to see a console-version(not just a direct port) of Scribblenauts. That game looks amazing on the DS, I couldn't imagine what a console game like that would be like.

Also, I'd like to one day see MGS4 go to the 360, if possible. I have it, and I absolutely love the game. I'd like for it to be available to as many people as possible.

Some other games I wouldn't mind going Multi-plat are Mass Effect, Halo, Uncharted, and the next Zelda game....That last one will probably never, ever happen, though.

Scribblenauts requires being able to write words with a touch screen though.

Can't you type on the PS3/360? I mean, I suppose it wouldn't so much be Scribblenauts, but that's hardly enough of a reason to say it couldn't happen.

well i suppose you could use the keyboard attachments for 360\PS3 to type, but like you say it wouldnt really be Scribblenauts. it would be Typenauts, LOL. and it seems that half the fun in the game will be writing with the stylus.

          Drogo Baggins Jul 14, 09
Wait, actually, there is a keyboard option in Scribblenauts, now that I think about it, so it actually wouldn't be any sort of stretch at all.

yeah, it would obviously be an XBLA\PSN downloadable game and not on a disc. $10 would be fair for it id say. they would need to add more levels i would imagine and it would be a delayed release, but i would buy it.

I'd really love to see L4D and Gears of War on the PS3, and also Splinter Cell: Conviction if it's any good. Other than that there aren't really any titles the 360 has that interest me.

Gears and Halo would be cool, maybe Fable 2. I tried Halo: CE on PC and I thought it was a pretty cool game.

The guy just wants to see handheld games get made into huge production-value affairs, games he finds too simple ported to handhelds, and the list-killer of FF7.

That doesn't even qualify for the list; he's just a fanboy that can't let go.

Katamari on the Wii or DS, for instance. That would be a good one for the list.

Tbh, the idea of large scale production Golden Sun sounds awesome to me.

Sounds awesome, but imo a huge production Golden Sun would kill a lot of what makes it as good as it has been.

how the hell would you play katamari on the wii

      mikegotgame Jul 13, 09
Look, it's called an opinion piece, mmkay? Likewise, I don't agree with your choice of putting a Katamari game for the Wii or DS.

Nothing against Katamari games, I just think there are a lot more interesting franchises (like Gabriel Knight) that deserve another installment.

But when one points a finger and says the other person is a "fanboy that can't let go," guess who looks like a jerkoff?

The guy who replies in a PMSing fashion maybe? Bare in mind comments are all opinions as well, so you could be seen as a hypocrite for bashing his opinion of your opinion. This opens all kinds of conundrums o'course, so your best bet is just to admit you can't please everyone and some people on the internet are a lot blunter then you imagine they should be and deal with it.

There is only one game I'd like on PS3, and that is L4D; only because the PS3 is in dire need of a PROPER co-op game. Almost all of the PS3 games releasing lately have been without co-op, mainly exclusives, for some reason. The only games I can think of with co-op in the past year are R2 and LBP, and only one of those had local splitscreen (LBP, and it wasn't technically splitscreen).

    So yeah, L4D.

RE5 has on/offline co-op and is best played on co-op.
