The Top 15 Square Enix Games of All Time

News10 have released a list featuring what they believe to be the Top 15 Games Square-Enix have released since the company's beginning.

Chrono Trigger has made Number 1. What do you think is Square-Enix's best game?

Since the company was founded in 1983, Squaresoft has had a reputation of making good-quality video games. Since its first title to hit the North American market (Rad Racer back in 1987 for the NES) and through today the ratio of high-quality to low-quality games has greatly skewed toward the former. The company is now known as Square-Enix thanks to a merger with animé, manga, and video game company Enix.

    I'm so happy FFVII isn't number one. I'm tired of everyone regarding it as THE best game ever.

    I've honestly never even played Chrono Trigger, but it's nice to see a list like this go against my expectations.

      Star Ocean is developed by Tri Ace, and although the games were published by Enix and now SE, they're really a separate team.

    I could understand the negligence of putting FFVIII up there, but where the hell is FFIV?

      It's on there, at #14.

      But more importantly, where the hell is Live A Live?

      And The Last Remnant is good, but at like #16 or #17 if there's actually a full 15 SE games you can place on top of it, including the masterpiece like FFXII and taking out the shit like FFX.

        Did you read #14? They said FFVI lol. I was confused about which one they really meant with that typo. Because VI also had great characters, story, and music...but then again, it does say first FF to hit stateside. Still, bad, bad typo.

        TWEWY is also worth mentioning, but they certainly didn't.

          I think whoever made the list just doesn't know his games. I mean, come on, he put FFX at #6 when it had no business being in the Top 15.

          Here here! FFX was a god awful game for a FF, i just didn't like the storyline and thought being able to 2shot a final boss ruins the fun of a good final boss fight =[

    That list just makes me laugh at how shitty SE has been. The only ones on that list that were actually made by SE were ff12,KH2,LR, and DQ8. FF12 and the Last Remnant have no business being on any top 15 lists.

    FFXII was meh, alright. I enjoyed FFIX more, though. FFT and Chrono Trigger are def on my top list for Square/Squeenix games.

      It's impossible to actually play The Last Remnant. You really just sit there, ponder its potential and then wonder why Square Enix didn't finish it.

      Then you go play something else because your friend's brother is all "Stop playing shit games on my 360."

    I didn't really approve when they said that FFIX had a weaker soundtrack than the rest of the series. I mean, it has some of the best tracks ever.

    But to each his own I suppose. That's why people always begin to argue over lists like these...

      Don't worry. FFIX's soundtrack is not a subject for debate.

        Damn i see myself constantly listening to the soundtrack for the final boss battle for FFIX, it just sets the theme amazingly and lets you know it's time for a friggin epic fight!

    Always loved the Final Fantasy games. X was probably my favorite out of all of them.

    I haven't played any other Square Enix games besides Final Fantasy. ;/

    I can't believe FFVIII wasn't on that list,it was great! My top 5 square enix games would probably be:

    5.Final fantasy VI
    4.Kingdom hearts
    3.Kingdom hearts 2
    2.The world ends with you
    1.Final fantasy VII/Final fantasy VIII
