Top 10 Games That Will Save 2009

There have been alot of games delayed or cancelled this year. But that doesn't mean there still aren't any games worth checking out in the next few months.

It seems the theme of the summer has been game delays. While this holiday season looked like being jam packed with quality releases, in recent weeks the schedule has been thinning. With a sense of disappointment in the air we're here to ease your concerns with our Top 10: Games to save 2009. We aren't going to be playing BioShock 2, Heavy Rain or Splinter Cell Conviction on Christmas Day, but there's still a lot to look forward to. Oh, and before anyone moans, we've classed GTA4 DLC The Ballad of Gay Tony as an add-on, so it's not included here.

    Only one of them is a guaranteed purchase for me and only 2 are maybe purchases.


    Guaranteed is Uncharted and maybe is Batman and Borderlands.

    I only see two that could possibly 'save' this year. Not that its been bad, but people like to find something to complain about.

    I wasn't aware that 2009 needed saving. Arkham Asylum, AC2, Forza 3, Modern Warfare 2, and Uncharted 2 make the year pretty damn good as is.

      But those games aren't released yet and that's the point of the article.Not that anyone cares because 2009 doesn't need to be saved.

    7 of those seem pretty good (B: AA, Forza, MW2, Uncharted 2, Borderlands (maybe), ODST could be fun and so could AC2 (maybe).

    The following sound good.

    Batman: Arkham Asylum
    The Beatles: Rock Band
    Forza Motorsport 3
    Brutal Legend
    Modern Warfare 2
    Uncharted 2
    Halo 3: ODST
    Left 4 Dead 2
    Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2
    Champions Online
    Gran Turismo 5
    Scribblenauts

    And just outside, Assassin's Creed 2, Borderlands, FIFA 10, Dragon Age: Origins.

    SFIV came out this year. Why the hell does it need saving?

    Seriously, why can't journalists just cut the bullshit and say 'Here are ten games that are coming out that will be good'? I think you're going to need ten articles to save your reputation, and that joke was shit but better than anything you've ever *bleep*ing published *rage*

        I know, I just get annoyed when people don't do their god damn jobs properly. If a journalist wants to make money they should do it writing ACTUAL articles, not by shitting out the same cliché lists every time they run low on cocaine.

    Hmm let's see
    Batman: probably not going to be good.
    Zelda: how's a DS game going to change anything?
    Halo3 ODST: Halo3's story was TERRIBLE so this probably won't be that good.
    Borderlands: could be okay, I won't critisize it until I see the full game.
    Uncharted 2: well it's ps3 so who cares.
    Call of Duty: great another call of duty game and this time overpriced and staring 50 cent, need I say more? (50 cent seriously? what a load of crap)
    Need for Speed: they've been getting worse and worse since underground I havn't got high hopes for this.
    Gran Turismo psp: um again another hand held game is going to do nothing.
    Forza 3: well Forza 2 was so good that they gave it away for free with the xbox because no body would buy it otherwise
    Assassin's Creed 2: Ubisoft will probably not learn from their mistakes and make another disapointment just like last time.

    I agree with Hideo1 we've had street fighter 4 this year we don't need any more and along with the other fighting games, Blazblue King of Fighters and Tekken 6 later this year we don't need to be saved.

    Also Left for Dead 2 and Dead Rising 2?
    Ultimare Alliance 2 looks cool too.
    and I'm sure the list goes on with good games that have come out this year and are still to be released.

    Seriously this article is so stupid 2009 doesn't need saving and even if it did these games probably wouldn't save it.

      You just brushed off Uncharted 2 as a 'who cares' because it's an exclusive and stated MW2 will star 50 Cent. You quite clearly have no right to talk about anything ever.

        Spose Unchearted 2 could be okay but a lot more people own an xbox than a ps3 so it's not really gunna save anything if more people can't play it than can.

        Also yeah 50 cent will probably ruin that game.

          Bullshit. Uncharted is one of the best selling exclusives of this generation and wipes the floor with a number of multiplat games.

          And 50 Cent is only there as an optional added voice in multiplayer; he does NOTHING ELSE.

        I actually see his point. For example, Halo: ODST will probably be one of the top 3 games this year, but to be honest, I don't give a shit about it, since I don't have a 360 and will not be playing it anyway.

      Oh yeah batman is SO GONA SUCK, I mean everyone who previews it says its awesome and is the best comic game to date, so that must mean it really sucks.

      The fighting division died with Soul Calibur and MKvsDCU. SFIV made a good run and BlazBlue's doing a valiant effort, but it can't be saved, regardless of how good T6 will be

    Left 4 Dead 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Brutal Legend, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Halo: ODST, Scribblenauts, Final Fantasy: Dissidia make up my 2009.

    Thing is, i'll also state Uncharted 1 & 2 caus i'll be getting them around December time when i get my hands on a PS3 =]
