Batman: Arkham Asylum has recently been released and, judging by first impressions, it looks like it is living up to the hype. Still haven't decided whether it's worth a purchase or not? This might help you make up your mind. Click on the source for the 10 Reasons You Must Play Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Now that Batman: Arkham Asylum has been released, it has thrown into disarray those perennial lists of the best superhero games. But it doesn't stop there. It also messes up lists of the best stealth games. It messes up lists of the best games in a long-running franchise. It shatters any list of the best games based on DC characters. At least it would if any such list existed. It even messes up any list of games set in awesome worlds. Although it's (mostly) confined to a single island, the developers have done an amazing job breathing life into that place, fleshing it out, making it feel like its own world. You won't soon forget Arkham Asylum.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. Rather than just tell you that Batman: Arkham Asylum is a great game that has fired its batclaw directly into various "top games of the year" lists, let me write a list to convince you that you should play it.
After the jump is a spoiler-free list of ten reasons you must play Batman: Arkham Asylum.

The attention to detail is fantastic, the battle wounds on batman shows up, his cape rips, scratches to his chest and face, pretty damn good.

The way they portrayed scarecrow was amazing, I was actually getting goosebumps. The riddlers Riddles along with his challenges were a dash of amazing on an already amazing game. The best part is there was no robin to ruin the game and Rocksteady did the best thing they could have done, put batgirl in her place as orical. The game was so much better being solo.
This is def. my #1 game of the year, it topped Gears of war 2, call of duty 4, and tops halo 3 odst. The people who made this game made didnt put out a game just to make money, but they know batman front and back and put out a game that the true batman fans will love. Good job rocksteady, you have my respect along with the rest of the batman community.
