Below we have a list of possibly some of the best endings out there. But be warned, everyone probably has a special game in their heart with an ending that gave them goose bumps and made them feel all gooey on the inside, but sadly we cannot cover them all.

    Nice, not a bad list, though I wouldn't say Crisis Core is the best of the list. It's good, but not that good.

      Well, I can see Mass Effect since it's technically not over.

      I was somewhat disappointed with Oblvion. I liked the ending but why not rebuild Kavatch, there's no closure really to speak of.

        But then you could say the same for FFX, with there being an FFX-2, about having a sequel. I thought Martin's actions were pretty moving in Oblivion, and Mass Effect's ending just left me plain speechless because it was ten kinds of epic.

          Yeah, that's true. I just can't wait for Mass Effect 2, they claim the ending is going to be even more intense.

          Joker made that ending what it was, imo. ^^ Playing through the game again after nearly two years, setting up different paths to use for ME2, depending on how ME1's impact will be on the game.

    MGS3 and FFX are my top video game endings along with MGS4.

    Don't agree with the FFX one, it was a lame ending ; ; If your gonna put a FF up there, use FFVI, easily the best one by far.

        *GASP* FFVIII?! Really?!

        MGS3 is my favorite of the MGS series, glad to see it gaining some praise. Can never forget that ending...or those hidden snakes at the last boss fight. xD

          Damn my favorite MGS is definitely MGS4, epic ending and totally worth watching it for an hour, definitely one of my most favorite endings ever.

    Definitely agree with the Crisis Core ending. That's the only gaming moment that brought me close to tears.
    And I was thinking "Crisis Core!" when I clicked the headline.

    Wow, a top list with Final Fantasy VII at the number one spot ?

    WHAT A SHOCKER.

    I'm surprised Halo 3 didn't crack this list with its "Wake me when you need me" scene.
