On the console front it is. Sure it's on the PC, but as far as home consoles it's an exclusive.

The CEO of Valve hates the PS3 and thinks the Wii is a waste of time. So all Valve games as of right now are as good as XBOX360 exclusive at least unless Gabe Newell even has an overnight change of heart and gets an epiphany of some kind that PS3 is worth developing for, or gets pissed at Microsoft.

They're basically too lazy to take the time and effort to develop games on the PS3 is what they are.

Uhuh... so people who make PS3 exclusives are too lazy to develop for 360 or PC?

The game sells well enough on PC and 360 anyway, why should they work with something they don't like and consider a waste of time when they're successful as is?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall them saying the PS3's processors were harder to work with than the 360's. Sounds pretty lazy to me. I understand them prefering to stick with MS, but the reasoning is kinda lame. But this is only my opinion so don't get too itchy.

Its not lazy at all, there a small dev team. They have there own system(steam) to run as well as their games. It takes a lot of money to teach your whole staff to lean a new architecture and costs a lot to hire a whole new team as well.

Its like this, Your doing a biology degree then some guy goes, Oh go take a physics one too now. You say no. Then he calls you lazy.

          It doesnt work that way.

Oh come on, Valve have said publicly that the reason they only develop for PC and 360 is just that they've done such a shit job in the past, and the Ps3 L4D port was a glitch fest. I think that kind of honesty should be encouraged.

Or maybe you'll get an epiphany that already Valve have put/are putting together (or at least trying, bless 'em) a team specifically for coding PS3, because Sony made that shit a labyrinth to work with. I'd rather not have any Valve games on my PS3 for a while instead of having shitty coded glitch *bleep* fests like that piece of dirt EA made.

Think they said they'd take people to make a PS3 coding team if they're willing to join. Which is a good gesture in itself really.

The story changes all the time, eh? Even Valve representatives seem to bound back and forth on it.

Either way they've extended a hand to Sony; what's going on with it now I still don't know.

That's the story I heard that had some amount of consistency, mostly in Left 4 Dead 2 interviews.

I think EA may be pressuring them. Because when EA ported it, it sucked ass and so don't want to port any more.

Their solution? Make Valve do the port, which would be higher quality.

But they simply won't do it as is.

And they can't really be forced since they can always just make stuff PC only.
