Growing up, you've probably seen your fair share of gaming commercials. Both quirky and somewhat surreal, these commercials have always held a place in the collective heart of gamers. Binge Gamer's Perry Piekarski lists ten of the best.

You let me watch old video game commercials for free.

Anyone born before 1990 knows just what I’m talking about, and anyone born before 2000 should at the very least have some sort of faint idea. Video game commercials have always treaded that fine line between… well, they’ve always treaded a fine line.

For some reason, I find these commercials absurdly awesome. Sure, some of them are lame, and others are downright disturbing, but when I watch these clips, I’m home again.

    Hahaha, the Smash Brothers one left me with the exact same "what the hell?" reaction.

    I haven't seen any of these except the Smash one and a couple of the Ratchet and Clank ones.

    I freakin' love the black SEGA CD guy. He represents everything right about gaming in 1993. However, the games he's talking about don't...

    And they should've chosen the "Zelda Rap" commercial over the other Zelda one.

    Huh, seems to be more of a humorous list.

    I say you can't have a list like this without the Gears of War "Mad World" commercial. It was masterful to be honest, a balls to the wall game with a more understated commercial with a brilliantly chosen song.

      That was a nice ad. I prefer the "Rendezvous" ad myself.
