I love Metal Gear Solid, in fact there has never been a franchise that has amazed me and left me speechless quite like this franchise has. In fact the question was asked of me recently if you could meet anyone famous who would it be; my reply was Hideo Kojima, because he created, in my eyes, the most amazing franchise ever made.

Metal Gear Solid changed my gaming life. The experiences I had are still vivid in my mind, and I often recall moments when I first experienced them. Though some may think the franchise is far fetched and over the top, it has delivered moments in gaming that few achieve and none have surpassed, well at least in my opinion. Here is a list of my personal Top 10 Metal Gear Moments, and coming up with just 10 was very difficult.

      The Microwave hall was so damn emotional, the fact that Snake is near enough dying but still he continues slowly crawling onwards because he knows that if he can't get down this hallway, everyone is screwed and it's his fault.

      Completely agree. I loved that scene. Struggle, as if there's no end, but not giving up. It was truly memorable for me.

      Jeez, they give the Sorrow a top moment over the ladder scene? Or that over the final battle with the Boss? How disappointing...meh, a list is a list, and I am playing favoritism because MGS3 is my favorite in the series, but still. xD

    That ladder section actually gave me chills for some reason.I have no idea why but there was something very spectacular about it.

    MGS4 had AWESOME moments. Re-visiting Moses (and the "nightmare" Snake has beforehand ), the Metal Gear fight, the Microwave section, and especially, the fight with Ocelot at the end- I was bursting with nostalgia when they started playing old songs from the prequels .

    How we kill Boss ourselves in MGS3 was pretty epic, too- as well as how we find out later that she had wanted Snake to kill her.

    I wanted the part where Arsenal Gear was *bleep*ing with you to be up there. That was some great stuff and it freaked me the hell out.

    I never really thought Solidus's little RAY killing spree was that good, especially above some of the other moments listed there.

    Its hard to summarize the greatest MGS momments just because there are so many of them. Running around Arsenal as your codec is going off every 10 seconds with the Colonel acting all *bleep*ed up. The sniping on Strut L Oil Fence. The battle with The End in MGS3. The chase through Groznyj Grad. The fight with Liquid on top of a crippled REX.

    There are so many. But I'd say the list, overall, did a pretty good job. I probably would have shuffled them around a bit, but its a proper order. But I definitely would have put the fight with The End up there. That fight could literally take hours.

    i remember at the end of mgs2 when i first tried it i got whooped like one hundred times i was only nine or ten didn't know what to do

    I love this series. I think the list is pretty fitting. Kinda makes me want to buy Metal Gear Solid for the PXS again.
