GameDaily and Big Download made a list of 10 PC games that owners of PlayStation and Xbox would like to play. This list includes World of Warcraft of course, but there are also other titles that wouldn't disappoint console gamers.

For a while, it seemed like PC gaming would die a slow death. World of Warcraft was (and still is) insanely huge, but the platform had lost exclusives to both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and all those high-priced graphics cards failed to impress. It appeared that consoles would finally triumph over the dusty spreadsheet machine.

What a difference a year makes. PC gaming is on track to reclaim its dominance, thanks to cheaper software ($10-$20 less than console games), a wider assortment of titles (Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5) and plenty of high profile releases (Aion, the upcoming World of Warcraft: Cataclysm). Now the tables have turned. Console gamers are on the outside looking in, as millions of players enjoy the best MMOs, real time strategy and first person shooters. That led us to partner with Big Download, the leader in PC coverage, to create a list of ten PC games console owners wish they could play.

Haha there's not a single game on the list I want to play

I have no interest in playing MMO's or RTS's.

Not interested in any of them. Some PC games I'd like to play are:

    Left 4 Dead
    Mass Effect

Some others, but they're all on the 360 too, so none, really.

WoW can go jump in a damn fire and burn for all eternity, that game needs to die, seriously.

However Diablo 3 on PS3 / 360 could work well if they changed the controls to suit it properly. However i'll probably buy it on PC anyway.

And Champions Online looks extremely interesting, but i'll probably just end up getting DC Universe Online for the PS3.

Arma 2, Crysis, Counter strike source.

Not just the MMOs this guy chose.

Absolutely hate WoW. Everything else is just as lame too. I'll stick to my console games.

Urgh, too many MMO and RTS games. Is that the main points of PC gaming? I would have hoped for a wider spread of genres, because I certainly have zero interest in either of those.

eh, I wouldn't be interested in any of those. I would like to see a simulation game like Roller Coaster Tycoon or Sim City 4 on my Wii.

The only one there I want to play is Diablo 3.

I think I liked it better when the authors projected their opinions as fact rather than have them speak "for me".

Seriously, where is the variety? Doesn't PC gaming have any interesting RPG's that aren't MMO and haven't been released on a console first? WoW needs to die a slow and painful death because its just getting ridiculous now. Starcraft and Diablo would be cool, but I think that games have worked better with keyboards over controllers. I personally think that PC gaming is becoming the domain of MMO's because that's all I ever see coming out nowadays. Sure, there's Crysis and a few others, but throw a stick into a video game store and you'll hit at least 5 FPS' before you touch ground. All I want is a good PC game that doesn't require me to drop another grand on PC parts!

Another grand? Where the hell do you live which inflates PC part pricing to the extent where your dropping that much for decent running specs?

The variety in PC gaming seems very diminished of late. STEAM does however do an excellent job of attempting to showcase the variety of Steam games via their STEAM store. And I guess it is, after all, quality over quantity. Been on Counter-Strike: Source 4 years running and still not bored.

Gotta love a console though. Plugin, play. Done. Greater variety of games, with evergrowing online functionality.

Sorry, I was using exaggeration for effect. But the point remains that good parts cost quite a bit. More than buying a console would cost; I'll just use Crysis for the example. In order to get it looking good, you need some serious power. And yes, Steam is good; but a lot of those games are back catalog stuff.

Still, I do want to play the new Starcraft game and wouldn't mind some Diablo every now and then!! But the console is awesome; no DRM, no re-registering, no minimum spec's, it just works.

However, it is also killing arcade gaming... which is very sad.

The only games I would buy for the PC would be Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3, but really the only other games that are for the PC are MMO's and I've grown bored of them, and now I really don't like them, paying monthly for a game that only repeats over and over for a while and keeps you grinding to play for longer is what they all are, for when the amount of money you pay for them you can get some games for the console that will last you a while and is great fun, without having to keep tweaking your PC from errors :/
