This is a top 10 list of reasons why Microsoft will own this Thanksgiving and why gamers should be thankful to the Xbox 360 - including games, avatars, online play, and much more.

Well gamers, it's that time of year. Yes, the time of year when we test just how far the wireless signal on our 360 controllers will allow us to go so we can still fill ourselves with turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes and anything else that'll continue fueling the perpetually mad pursuit for achievements. Now, trust me when I say this, if it comes down to whether or not I'm going to enjoy some of the awesome Thanksgiving goodness or snatch another level on Modern Warfare 2, the delicious food is going to win. You see, Gamers ultimately think with their stomachs and if there is a better holiday that doesn't cater to us as a group, I don't know what it is, well besides Christmas. Anyway, before you crack open an ice cold Red Bull to stave off the inevitable sleepiness you'll suffer through because of the succulent turkey, take a minute and be thankful for that little powerhouse nestled near your television. These are the ten reasons the Xbox 360 rules Thanksgiving 2009.

That list really doesn't prove anything. TV and movies? PS3 already has that, plus Netflix. Warranty? They wouldn't need a warranty like that if they'd just fix the RRoD. Accessories? I'm sorry, but the Wii beats the hell out of everyone when it comes to accessories, shitty or naut. Stance on Piracy? Who cares. The average gamer doesn't. And the hardcore gamer just cares about the games. Moot point.

I'd say its more like a "Top 5 GOOD reasons and 5 LAME reasons why 360 owns Thanksgiving".

I love my xbox but I have to agree. This is the worst list I have ever seen. He pretty much just stated some of the features xboxes have. I don't get what this has to do with thanksgiving?

Both have Netflix, and 360 doesn't need a disk to run it.

Some people like the stance on piracy as well because "why should they get that for free?" Who the hell do you think you are to feel that the company owes you that game, cheapening their work.

Anyway, the reasons are debatable but apparently 360 owns Thanksgiving. Probably because they're the only American console company and as such would happen to know more about the holiday, or that it exists in the first place.

I'm pretty sure you only need a disc to set up Netflix, not to run it all the time.

You just said it - they're an American console. Nuff said.

I like how this article is attached to the PS3 forum even though its an article on the 360. More hits, eh?

The only thing that 360 owners should be thankful for is it not having red ringed yet.

Want hits to your website? Troll a fanbase! No need to write something that's worth a damn, with a headline like the one I just wrote you'll be getting thousands of hits!

Also, want to double, triple even quadruple the hits? Put multiple pages! Everyone loves that!

    10. Music: The PS3 can do all that last.fm thing as far as I know (don't know how it works.Though in-game music is better on 360 because uit works on all games. Not that I care about in-game music as I RARELY use it.

    9. Avatars: Ok so if you don't include Home (which isn't quite the same thing) then that's something over the PS3.How much over the PS3 is up to the individual.

    8. Accesories: Well the controller depends on the person.I like the 360 control better than the orginal XBox one but personbally I find the DS3 damn near perfect.

    7. TV is no longer a feature has over 360 as far as I know.

    6. Multiplayer Gaming depends on the games you want to play online in some cases and also depends on if you are willing to pay to play online which I am not.If I do decide to get a 360 that won't change.

    5. As a person who still has the original PAL PS3 running PERFECTLY fine, warranty don't mean shit to me.

    4. Project Natal like the PS3 equivalent isn't even out yet.So how do we know Natal is better than something that isn't even out yet? Not to mention what is the point of bringing up something that isn't even out to prove a point as to why a certain thing makes a day that is hours away better than it's competitor?

    3. Microsoft's Stance on Piracy: Ok so I like that but honestly can piracy of games even be done for the PS3? If not then not being able to pirate is far better than just combating piracy.

    2. Xbox Live Arcade Games: Ok so months ago I did preferr XBLA's games better than PSN's but now I'm not so sure.

    1. Xbox 360 Retail Games: All the games he mentions besides Mass Effect can be also bought on PS3 and pretty much the same quality.

Well it's one thing to know when an article isn't talking sense, but it's always better when someone actually takes the time to set the record straight
