IGN have compiled a list of ten essential XBLA games featuring a wide variety of titles. However, there are quite a few names notably absent from the list, such as Bionic Commando Rearmed, Battlefield 1943, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) really came into its own this year. From enormous adventures you can sink dozens of hours into to modest but addictive little puzzle games, Microsoft's downloadable game service has a wide variety of quality offerings.
We know this time of year there are a bunch of new Xbox 360 owners out there, so we've put together this list of the ten essential XBLA games you should download pronto. This is by no means a comprehensive list of everything the service has to offer, but it's a good jumping off point. There are great XBLA games not included in this top 10, but these are the titles we think have the most mass appeal and deserve a home on everyone's hard drive.

Apart from that, a very respectable list (though I wouldn't have Splosion Man that high up the list), I really must get some of these (I've been a bit lazy on the xbla front...).
Shadow Complex I definitely want.
Good thing MvC2 isn't on there, its no fun anymore, just full of spammers/campers/ect
However, the doughnut song is amazing.
