Girls like to play games other than Sims. Male centric gaming market is often responsible for sexist depictions and stereotypes that most people have about girl gamers.

When most people think of the female gamer market, a mire of baby sims, cooking games, games presented in an retina searing shade of pink, and other sexist depictions of the gender leap to mind. The girl gamer market has been a swamp of bad game design for many years. With game developers stuck in some sort of time warp when it comes to the development of games for girls, girl gamers must try to seek their enjoyment in the male centric market.

    Don't forget the MW's, Tekkens etc. I have two girls on PSN and one pretty much only plays the highly popular FPS's and another girl added me after I played her at Tekken.

    Man, I dont even think this is that much of an issue. I think people want it to be an issue so they have something to get up in arms about. But out there, beyond the realm of the internet, I know loads of girls that are into all sorts of games, and loads that aint in to any games at all. None of em speak to me cos I smell and have brown teeth from smoking too much, but that's what x-box live is for I suppose. "WELL YES SEXYCHICKDDCHEST52 I AM INDEED GEORGE CLOONEY a/s/l can i see your boowbies on webcams plz?" It would be very convenient to group everyone in one big lump and say "these people do this, those people do that" but the reality is people do what they want man, no two people live the same life, how can you know what they enjoy? You do what you do, they do what they do; if you do the same things maybe you'll do it together, if you dont, you get on with what you do and they get on with what they do man, anything beyond that is an invasion of personal space really. If you ask me, a good game, can be enjoyed by anyone, because a good game will simply be made to be played. Not made to be played exclusively. It's just a matter of some people enjoying some games more than others, that's life man.

    I'll say what I have always said. Forget the gender. They're a person. They're a gamer. Treat them as a person who is a gamer, without considering their gender.

    I have a girl on my friends list and she only plays MW2, has a K/D of 2.92 and is constantly top of the leaderboard of all friends. MW2 is a kickass game for all genders.
