This is a top 10 list of video game trailers for the year 2009, featuring gaming website PlanetXbox360.com's selections - included in the list are the likes of Beatles: Rock Band, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and many more.

If there is one thing that leaves gamers drooling over themselves in anticipation for an upcoming title, it’s a great trailer. This year treated gamers to more than the fair share of exceptional videos that showcased some exquisitely awesome games. I tried to keep it with titles that have either released in 2009 or will release early 2010, thus there will be no Halo Reach here. Although Reach has an awesome trailer and you can read my trailer dissertation here, I suggest you sit back and for the next few minutes enjoy the trailers that blew our minds in the year 2009.
