GameZone's Nick Akerman discusses the top 10 toughest females in gaming (characters). Only one female from one franchise/series was allowed to appear in the list.

"With Bayonetta strutting into stores this week, it's time to take a look at the toughest female characters gaming has provided gaming with over the years. We're talking ladies of steel; the kind that don't need to be suffering with hormonal pains to rip your head off. Gone is the insistent need to shop and the power to chat your body into a vacant boredom – these girls have far more pressing matters to get on with. By 'pressing,' we mean they are out saving the world or imprinting their high-heels into the faces of cowering men everywhere. "

    Hahaha, I like how they throw in Blaze from Street of Rage. The last few sentences mention her enormous gulp of a big piece of turkey or an apple, including the plate. xD

    Where the hell is the Golden Axe Beast Rider girl? For those patient enough to play through that game, she gets pretty tough during the end when she kills Death Adder.

      Heh, poor Peach. She's princess of an entire kingdom, and yet her best suitors are a short, fat plumber and a big, ugly turtle/dinosaur thing.
