This is a list of the top 5 things Project Natal needs to do to help Microsoft stay on top of Sony in 2010; including launch plans and how the hardware must perform before being released to the gaming public.

Many modern games have complex control schemes that can be quite bewildering. If you’re not playing a title every day it can take a few minutes to get back into the groove of seamless button pressing. Just a few months ago Microsoft announced "Project Natal" (temporary name) and have already shown off a good bit of what the hardware can do. Most hardcore gamers simply cast a derisive glance at the Wii section in their local gaming shop before breezing by to ogle the other games. What does Project Natal need to help Microsoft continue slaughtering Sony in 2010; today I take a look at the hardware and list out a couple points that I think are 100% necessary to the product’s success.

Hahaha... I know a website called planetxbox360.com is going to be full of bias and fanboy like activity, but this website takes it to the extremes. Microsoft are not slaughtering Sony just reading that makes me laugh.

Anyway about Natal. I am sceptical merely because controller less solutions have failed time and time again. Natal is merely an advanced EyeToy, Playstation Eye and Live Vision camera. The cameras themselves are good but they miss a controller giving the gamer more control.

Out of the two camera based motion solutions I think Sony have got it right. Yeah it's cool playing games Minority Report style with your hands, but complex games are going to require complex gestures to do complex things, it's much easier to be holding something to aid those complex gestures with button presses. Well thats the way I look at it anyway.

      I'm shocked

I think both will work alright, neither great, but alright.

I personally had a lot of fun with the Eyetoy I still bring it out sometimes when I have mates around and there has been drinking going on...

What can Microsoft do with Natal?

    How about not release it?

Same goes for Sony and their crappy ass dildo wand.

Motion controlling should not be brought into the next gen consoles. Leave it as a crappy gimmick on the Wii.

As always, the title of a pro-xbox opinionated article is misleading. The title from a pro-xbox fan.

Thanks to Nintendo's motion technology, I've become incredibly wary of this sort of thing. On the flip side, seeing the long list of major publishers hopping the Natal bandwagon makes me curious if we'll be seeing "core" content...
