Highlighting the positives of several major video game franchises, the article gives the author's opinion about which game series need to be made into movies as soon as possible and why they'd be big box office draws.

Nothing is certain in today’s game industry. But the closest you’ll come to a sure thing is that movies based on video games suck. There are exceptions, sure. But most of the time, gamers end up regretting their ticket purchase after watching their favorite game get some off the wall adaption on the silver screen that fails to encompass any of the elements that made the game so good. So to save the movie industry some time, we’ve compiled a list of the top 5 games that need to get big screen adaptations. We can’t write the scripts for Hollywood, but here’s our list of nominees.

    Uncharted reminds me of Indiana Jones in a way. Would like to see a good Zelda flick though. Mass Effect could be something if say...James Cameron was involved. xD

    Uncharted, MGS, Halo, Legacy of Kain, and Twisted Metal would make kick ass movies if done right.

    Mmmm Bioshock movie. The underwater aspect would just make it so epic.

      Bioshock would be good only if they spent a lot of money on it, if they tried to do it on the cheap it would suck really hard.

        Given that they'd all require some serious special effects I'd say that applies to more than just Bioshock.

    Halo would be pretty epic, not going to lie. Zelda would an alright movie, but a bit too dorky for my taste.

    I only got the gist of Bioshock's story, but I'm going to go with Guugley because he's right 83% of the time.

    Bioshock is one of the few games I'd actually like to see as a movie (if done properly [I'm looking at you Silent Hill]).

    It seems people aren't aware that a Bioshock movie is in the works. Pre-production right now, not sure if the script is finished yet or not.

    Uncharted is the only game I've played in a long time that I really see working as a film. MGS is just too convoluted.

    I wouldn't mind going to see a Zelda movie, as long as it wasn't lamed up so-to-speak. I remember watching a Halo trailer ages ago.
