Both! Even the new upcoming version is a retelling of the first game:)

It's not a retelling of the first games, those already came and went. The new ones are retellings of the sequels.

So, in three years, we'll be looking forward to Inferno Red and Forest Green, retellings of the retellings

        Ditto to that.

Come to think of it, alot of the games on the list haven't aged too well. XD

Dunno if SMK has aged well. The game is so much different these days.

SMW is still amazing to play to this day. Same with Red and Blue.

The first metal gear solid hasn't aged well at all. The graphics looks so dated.

It's still a great game though

I've only properly played 3 of those games. Both the Mario's (SMW being my favourite Mario of all time) and MGS4.

I would put Killer Instinct and the DKC series on my list.

Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 are always going to be my favorite multiplayer games of the 90's. So many fun memories, and they are still fun to go back to.

They really are. I downloaded Super Mario Kart on my Virtual Console. The controls are pretty different from the other Mario games but it's still really fun to play. Plus it's fun to overlap everyone. =D
