Recently, the news of a new Pokemon from the upcoming fifth generation was announced. Since then, it's sparked a huge amount of discussion across many forums. Thomas East discuss a top list of five possible scenarios for the mystery Pokemon, read on to find out what they are.

Have you even known a silhouette to cause so much debate? Ever since the Japanese TV show Pokémon Sunday revealed the silhouette of a mystery Pokémon, fans around the globe have been discussing the identity of this monster. All will be revealed on 21 February but internet forums are already speculating. Here some of the most popular suggestions.

    In my opinion, there's two options:
    1. It's an entirely new Pokémon.
    or
    2. It's a nighttime evolution of Riolu. Note that Riolu only evolves during the day, seemingly welcoming something like this for the 5th Generation.

      It's an entirely new pokemon.
      This pokemon is Zoruark
      And it evolves from Zorua.

    Do not want a Lucario evolution. It better not be a Lucario evolution. >_>

    Hopefully it's just a new Pokemon and not an evolution of another Pokemon.

    So after rigorous debate the conclusion is that it's either an evolution of an old Pokemon or a new Pokemon.
