This is a list of the top 7 anime series that would make epic video games, on the current generation of consoles, from gaming website PlanetXbox360.com - very good choices if you're looking for new anime to watch as well!

there are some anime series that would fit the aforementioned description of translating naturally into a video game, especially one for current-gen consoles such as the Xbox 360, but for some reason or another haven’t made the jump yet. It’s not like games based on anime would necessarily do poorly on the Xbox 360, considering the amount of hardcore gamers loyal to the Xbox 360 that are also anime fans. (Need evidence of that? Here is a list of the top seven “anime series” that would make badass video games for the current generation of consoles, Xbox 360 specifically.

    Why isn't Code Geass? The Knightmare Frames they use are friggin' Gundams, for god sakes. Hell, all the Knightmares get wings and can fly by the second season.

      Because everything published by Jump or Clamp is already a game or two that's only in japan.

      Code Geass has had games, although I'm pretty sure all but one were visual novels. Either way Code Geass really wouldn't make a great game besides completely disgarding everything that makes Code Geass what it is and then just making a mecha game around Knightmares, in which case you may as well use Gundam.

    howabout a cowboy bebop game where you play as spike, and the gameplay consists entirely of coming up with smartass comments for every situation?

    Black Lagoon would make an interesting game, if it didn't get itself banned first. Hypothetically speaking Biomeat - Nectar would make a good Survival Horror. I'd like to see a game based around Karas at some point as well, side-scrolling action-adventure of sorts.

    I'm surprised there's no mention of One Piece, if done properly as opposed to just a Fighting game. You've got open-world sailing which if done right could be enjoyable and a huge non-linear world to explore, and given the limits of the One Piece universe practically anything can be incorperated into it. If it was in the right hands it could make a fantastic Action-Adventure title, with a degree of RPG elements.

    Code Geass could work nicely if it were an rts.
    Black Lagoon? Yeah, that would stir a lot of controversy.
