In an attempt to help those gamers out there who are struggling to find just the right game to purchase we have come up with this Top 5 RPGs list for the RPGs that were released within the last four months, which includes titles such as Dragon Age: Origins Awakening, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver as well as others.

Also included are a few honorable mentions, with links to reviews, that some RPG fans may find interesting and might want to check out and a list of many of the RPGs released.

The past four months have seen quite a few releases in the RPG genre, from handheld games like Infinite Space and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey and PC games like Mount and Blade: Warband to the many hit console RPGs like Final Fantasy XIII and Mass Effect.

    Havent played the other 2, but what from what i've heard they also deserve the spots they have.

    I don't have a ds bu it's good to see atlus getting some love with SMT. They're a great developer that don't seem to get the recognition they deserve.

    I would've put White Knight Chronicles up there instead of Final Fantasy XIII.

      Haha yeah, I used Metacritic to keep myself from a biased opinion, but the honorable mentions are some of the ones I would have listed.

        Honestly, Metacritic isn't reliable when the reviewers giving the game low scores either makes it apparent they're not into the genre or just dislike the game. :

          True, but at least it isn't my opinion that is being picked apart. With Metacritic it's a fairly large amount of writers depending on which game it is so the odds are still in a good games favor if there are more writers who are honest about their opinion than those not who are just trying to drive up hits by trolling.
