Top 10 "Best" Sonic the Hedgehog Songs

The Sonic the Hedgehog series has had increasingly cheesy and poorly made music over the years. Kyle of Insert-Disc takes a look at his 10 favorite Sonic songs that are so bad, they're good.

Sonic the Hedgehog has some of the greatest music in video games. I am of course referring to the Genesis games, today Sonic games have really cheesy songs that are in the “so bad, it’s good” category. Here I’m listing 10 of the best in no real order. It was pretty hard to cut the list down to 10, so look out for another one of these lists some time in the future. In the mean time, sit back and marvel at what bands like Crush 40 think pass for music.

    A solid list. Inexcusable is the absense of Live and Learn, Open Your Heart, and the theme from one of the other Sonic cartoons.

    ...But god DAMN do I ever love me some Sonic music. >__>

      The initial list was 23 songs. All three of those were on the list.

    I've always, always always always loved the music from Scrap Brain Zone in Sonic 1. My all-time favorite Sonic-based song/music.

    most of those songs just suck, except for the Shadow one, i think the first one on that list. so because its the "best" songs, it means these are the bad songs.

    Live and Learn is such a badass song that theres no way it would make it on a "best" Sonic songs list, since its IMO the best Sonic song ever. every time i listen to it i instantly remember the only good part of Sonic Adventure 2, the awesome tag team final battle with Super Sonic and Super Shadow in space when that song played. damn that was epic and too bad it was the only good part of SA2.
