TOP 10 SNES GAMES

Retrofusion looks back at what it thinks are the best 10 games released on Nintendo's SNES. I am sure you will disagree - but that is half the fun in compiling a list like this.

A brilliant little JRPG. It sends up the RPG genre and is utterly riddled with pop-culture references as well as being a well designed and thoroughly absorbing adventure in its own right.

    No Chrono Trigger... seriously? That game should be in the running for the best game of all time. Not even making it into the top 10 SNES games is just absurd IMO.

      If I could give you 100 thumbs up I would. This man/woman should be trialed for treason for not giving any love to teh 'Chrono Trigger.

      Its definately in my top 10 (all time, not SNES, ALL *bleep*ING TIME!)

      Also, Super Metroid was the best, then LttP and THEN SMW.

      Also, a little game called Lufia 2 should be tried by all. Its a *bleep*ing amazing RPG.

    Super Mario World over both Super Metroid and a Link to the Past? I love Super Mario World and all, but I would never put it in front of those two games.

      I would because 1. SMW is my favourite Mario game ever and one of my most played SNES games 2. Only played a little bit of Super Metroid on an emulator 3. I don't play Zelda.

          Lmao, I never said you couldn't, but the thing is, I don't hold your opinion in very high regard because you barely played one of the games in question, and didn't play the other one at all, so to me, your input is pointless. If you actually played the other two games and have a justified stance on your opinion, then I wouldn't be a dick, otherwise your comment, at least to me was unnecessary, but not once did I say you could NOT state your opinion, you could do so as much as you like, but that does not mean I can't be a dick about it.

    Well it doesn't matter that much if I didn't play half of those games because 1. this article like all these types of articles is opinion and what I posted was my opinion and 2. even if I were to play these games, they wouldn't top Super Mario World because SMW has FAR to much nostalgia behind it. Along with the Donkey Kong Country series, Mario Bro's 1-3, SMW is one of my most fondly remembered games ever. The fact that I don't play Zelda (I haven't played Super Metroid but I have played the original and the two GBA games) means that if I did put SM or ZElda above SMW then it would be stupid as I have no experience to base my judgement on.So me pointing out that in this list I agree with the number 1 spot is perfectly acceptable because I'm pointing out my opinion from the choices that are represented.


    On an opinion piece you only really need to reply with your own opinion and MY opinion is that SMW IS the best SNES game from this list.Donkey Kong Country 1 may actually be my number one SNES game of all time but from this list SMW is.
