Bobby Kotick's comments about Call of Duty and Star Wars didn't necessarily sit well with Examiner. So they went back and looked at five games that come closer to the original Star Wars movies than Call of Duty.
Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has recently made the statement that, “The Call of Duty franchise is a force of nature. I think it is the closest thing this generation has to a Star Wars. I think it’s unique and bigger than any musical act or any movie franchise in that capacity.” While we appreciate Mr. Kotick’s enthusiasm for his product, we don’t believe there’s been a game that has come close to the cultural impact that Star Wars had when it was released in 1977. However, we humbly submit five game franchises that are more “Star Wars” than Call of Duty.
