The Nintendo Wii is quietly having a great year of quality new releases. Here are the top 10 games released for the system during the first-half of 2010.

    No arguments with Monster Hunter Tri, it is just too great (though I would put it first... haven't played SMG2). Red Steel 2 is a good game with some solid ideas but it didn't really pull them all off, it suffers from a whole basket of bugs and lacked certain things. For example, it has a quick time event near the start and then none for the rest of the game (wtf?).

    Kind of sad that I've only played one of those games. But Galaxy 2 has been a really good game. I just need to finish it. >_>

    Not a particular strong year so far baring the big 2.

    But there is Metroid to look forward to next month.

    Most of the list are pretty solid titles, Monster Hunter and Red Steel 2 particuarly are superb.

    That being said the fact that Trauma Center and Tiger Woods are somehow on this list yet Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon isn't seriously saddens me. One of the few true quality games on the Wii is shafted in favour of a surgery sim and a casual sports game, and people wonder why the few gems on the Wii go unnoticed.
