I've compiled a list displaying what I think are the top 14 video game quotes of all time. I've only put quotes of games I've played, so don't be surprised if I haven't inserted your favourite quote in the list.

There are many games out there but not many manage to have quotes that will stick with you your whole life. Quotes are what makes games memorable. What you’ll find below is a comprehensive list that I’ve compiled with the funniest, poorly translated and most memorable quotes.

        I'd put "War... War Never Changes" up there from Fallout 3 but if it is put in the list it'll look weird with the number one choice.

    I think that Gray Fox's quote "A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal." should of made the list along with "I feel asleep" by a guard from one of the orginal 2 Famicon games.

    I guess I'm the only one saddened by the fact that Duke Nukem gets all the credit for that quote when it's just a slightly reworded phrase from a Carpenter movie.

    Personally, I always liked the previous line to AYBABTU: "Somebody set up us the bomb!".



    Any quotes said by Gravemind from Halo 2 and 3 are pretty epic, and are some of my personal favorites. They're all very cryptic, poetic, and heavy.

    From MGS I would pick Frank Jaeger's/Grey Fox quote before he is killed. "Snake. We're not tools of the government, or anyone else. Fighting was the only thing... the only thing I was good at. But... at least I always fought for what I believed in.

    I really like this list. Has a load of well known quotes. I reckon if there was still a MGS quote at first it should have been the infamous line "Kept you waitin, huh?"
