Just in time for Halloween, here are five of the scariest moments in gaming history. You may want to play these games with the lights on. Boo! Oops, sorry to scare you like that.

It can be argued that video games do a better job of getting under your skin than a good horror flick for the simple reason that the player is in control. You can yell at an actress, pleading for her not to open that door, but in a game, you have to be the one to muster the courage and push the button to find out what horrible things lie in wait.

    It's very true that games have a higher scare rate as compared to movies, especially when gamers are 100% engrossed into the games.
