I had a discussion with my flatmate the other day about this subject. Apparently another fellow flatmate is a prolific cut-scene skipper in gaming. I have a friend just like this as well who is only interested in shooting things and pays absolutely no attention to a narrative. However to my first flatmate and me this is the ultimate in videogame sacrilege. When I skip story elements I feel bad, constantly worrying about whether I've missed something important. So let be a lesson to you. If you're playing co-op gaming with me, don't skip the cutscenes or I may be liable to beat you around the head with the nearest inanimate object. Probably a pot-plant or a bottle of shampoo.
