I'd love to see Advance Wars on a console. Always loved those games.

Isn't Battalion Wars the home console version of Advanced Wars?

Yeah, but it's a completely different style of play. Battalion wars is much more action-oriented, while Advance Wars is an SRPG through-and-through.

I'm hardpressed to think that the core gameplay of any of these games would be significantly different on consoles. You'd have updated visuals and... ? I'd imagine that's about it. And yeah, better visuals are always nice, but if the crux of the piece is "moar grafix," that's not really a compelling argument, is it?

Handhelds these days are going toe-to-toe with consoles with their features and libraries. It's really only some presentation elements that are compromised. I think the pining for handheld games on a console is outmoded in the modern era, especially with the 3DS and NGP on the horizon.

The crux of the argument is that people want more of these series and by utilizing bigger and better hardware, you can experience new things like a more robust online multiplayer perhaps.

Two of the games are single player, and another two are Nintendo games. I really doubt "more robust online" is on the table.

God of War and MGS games. I can't stand the PSP but I'd love to play those 2 games.

Pokemon though I want Pokemon on the consoles like Pokemon is on the handhelds. Every time they announce a Wii version of Pokemon it ignores the core gameplay that made the handheld version succeed. I like that style of gameplay, that style of gameplay where exploration is your biggest asset and you feel like you are in a living world..

Most of the games on the consoles with the Pokemon games are actually the kinds of games you would expect to be on the handheld. Pokemon Snap, Colosseum etc.. Games where you can play in bite sized chunks. It seems mad to me that not once have they truly tried to port a legit Pokemon title to the Wii, with that gameplay that keeps people glued to their DS's for hours at a time.

Pokémon is like the Mario of handhelds. It's not going to be on a home console buddy. The pick-up and play feeling will be lost, and training and battles with friends will be a pain.
