This is a look at the top 5 reasons why the Playstation 3 won't be overtaking the Xbox 360 in the year 2011; everything from controllers, to exclusive games, to motion-sensing Kinect.

With a plethora of exclusive titles set to launch on the PlayStation 3 later this year, fans of Sony’s console are quick to assume that the Blu-ray enabled powerhouse will surpass the 360 by year’s end; let me tell you why they are oh so wrong. I am so confident that I'm willing to be my very own pet giraffe against any Sony fanboy who thinks otherwise. While only a fool would deny the fact that Sony has quite an impressive lineup of first party titles – namely Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 and Infamous 2 – there are a number of other factors that have not been taken into consideration. In an effort to squash the ramblings of rabid fans, I will address five key reasons why the Xbox 360 will remain the console of choice in 2011. Note: I do not hold any particular allegiance to either system, I appreciate and respect what each has to offer.

five reasons why it pratically already has is more like it.

Really, they're so close that it's really quite irrelevant which has more total sales.

So Call of Duty: Black Ops is one of the 5 reasons the 360 will overtake the PS3?

Retard, that same game is out for the PS3.

not saying whether PS3 will overtake it or not but i have to say i still think the 360 controller is better. the analog sticks being concave is better than PS3's convex TBH, if they have any amount of sweat or dampness, my thumbs always slip off PS3 thumbsticks but never 360. why doesnt Sony do concave also, or at least put the little nubs of plastic that stick up so as to give you better grip? i would not mind the PS3 controller so much if they fixed that.

The analog sticks and the triggers are the only two problems with the PS3 controller. Though saying "only" is an understatement considering those are quite important parts.

yeah and i have had a couple issues with the PS3 controller's bluetooth i think, like when moving a character one direction it gets hung up for a second or 2 and keeps going in that direction. my friend said that was an issue with the bluetooth and it happens to him occasionally. dont know if its really that or what, but i havent experienced that with a 360 controller and those use RF instead of bluetooth.

I understand his points on most of them, though I think he is taking the CoD one too far, but exclusives - ya right, anyone who knows gaming knows that Microsoft is in a hole right now. Surprises at E3, sure I am expecting them... from all three companies, not just Microsoft.

Sony won't have many surprises as most of their "surprises" already have release dates. Microsoft will have surprises that no one will like as they will more than likely be Kinect related and Nintendo will just keep hinting at a new Kid Icarus for Wii that will never come and talking about how the 3DS has been such a success while trying to avoid the fact they are selling it for a completely unfair (to the consumer) 65% profit.

        >Kid Icarus
        >for the Wii

Uh.. what? A confirmed game for the 3DS this summer but nothing at all to do with the Wii.

You've got it all wrong Daweii! Nintendo will go on stage at E3 and go "Guys, it's the game you've all been waiting for, here it is...............SUPER MARIO GALAXY 3! YES ANOTHER MARIO GAME!"

Oh and the PS3 will definitely beat the 360 in sales this year if Microsoft don't step the *bleep* up at E3 for sure.

Nah, I am sure all three companies will have aces up their sleeve. They all know their E3 presentations are graded based on surprises. I am sure there will be a couple of new games announced, may not be new IPs, but unannounced games nevertheless.

I've never understood the obsession with some people claiming the Xbox is so much better than the PS3. Nearly all aspects of each machine are practically identical. The graphics for both consoles are almost identical, the only difference I've ever noticed when using each consol is that the Xbox controller is by far the easier controller to use.

Which even then is commonly a matter of preference.

I must be the only person who finds the 360 controller somewhat awkward to use, I think the Playstation controllers are more comfortable in my opinion, they seem to fit in the palm of your hands better anyway.

Nah, I'm with you on that one. It feels really weird, it's doesn't fit into your hand properly. Not to mention the LB and RB feel awkward as hell to get your fingers on. On PS3 my fingers rest on all the top buttons, on 360 I can only rest it on RT and LT

Fail article is fail. I have nothing against the 360, but this article simply fails.

PS3 is 3 million units behind the 360 worldwide. It will not close this gap for another 1-2 years. By then, nobody will care.
