Top 5: Games of 2011...so far (CliffyB3.com)

2011 has been an interesting year for video games: there have been plenty of killer apps released already, and plenty more are announced for launch in the fall and winter seasons.

With that in mind, what are the five best games of the year – so far?

    I am ok with the list except for #5.. Bulletstorm was not that strong of a game, but Crysis 2 was accepted pretty well even after all the hype that was built up for it. Crysis 2 deserves to be on that list more than Bulletstorm.

      The PC community hates Crysis 2 with a passion, and the first one was a PC exclusive. All the Crysis 2 fans are console players, not that it's bad or anything. You know I would have no problem with Crysis 2 being multi-plat if it was actually as good as the first and was ported to consoles later..... The hype around the title was by the PC community mostly, because no one cared that Crysis 2 was going multi-plat until a month before release.

      Bulletstorm didn't deserve it either imo, but I like how People Can Fly tried something different than the standard FPS games. It was pretty enjoyable.

      No Witcher 2 though ?

        lol, not sure I would put a game down just because PC gamers over-hyped it.

      he already stated why LA Noire was not on the list... because it just came out and he has not played it... Read the article next time.

        Meh, I tend to skim these lists really, theirs just too many of them for to actively read them.

        Plus, someone who hasn't played LA Noire yet really shouldn't be making a top 5 games of the year so far list, he should be on his arse actually playing LA Noire.

          I could agree with that, he probably should have waited a week or two to post this list. But maybe his boss made up do it or something, a lot of these articles are basically forced on the journalists from what I understand.
