If you love a game you'll pay anything to play a upgraded version of it. Considering how many remakes are going on in the Movie Industry it was only natural that the Game Industry follow suit. Here is a list of the top 10 videogame remakes. Which one will be number one Conker? Tomb Raider? Read on and find out

Remakes are essentially a hallmark of the games industry. If you have a good idea that spawns a lot of sequels, spin-offs, and maybe (in some cases) a kart racer or two, that groundbreaking idea is bound to be remade sometime in the future to cash in on the loyal supporters. The thing is, sometimes those remakes turn out even better than the original masterpiece.

With that in mind, it’s time to count down the top 10 best remakes of all time. It doesn’t matter what console, or how old it is. All that matters is how much the remake significantly improved on an original classic.

    WT-BLOODY-F???

No FFVII? How could they NOT add that? Even if they absolutely hated that game, a LOT of people want it..

gamers alike had a hard time caring. Laura herself had over 7,000 polygons
Oops, I think someone mixed up the names...is is LARA, not Laura...

Um, FFVII has not been remade. At least not yet.

In case you haven't noticed, they're talking about games that have already been remade, not games that they want remade.

Coulda sworn this would be about remaking games (again), not about already remade games...

        Oh well, my mistake...

Final Fantasy VII has never been remade, other then the PSP versions and PS2 versions based 2 years before and after. There was the trailor but that was a teaser trailor or something just to test the power of the Playstation 3 in what it could offer, or so they say. They might be making one but I dont think anything has been said on it yet =[

REmake was one of the greatest Cube games, IMO. Possibly even better then RE4.

Aye, I can't see the second *bleep*ing page of the damn article, but I was expecting REmake to be there. It is not "possibly" better than RE4, it IS better than RE4. More difficulties, game modes, MUCH BETTER storyline, and it did do the original game justice...all it needed was interactive scenes.

I prefered RE4, myself. Easily my favourite Resident Evil game. However, I'm not an RE fan to begin with, and RE4 dealt with my issues with the franchise. REmake was a hell of a remake, though. They did do a superb job on it, and the game was amazing on all fronts. However, I didn't really enjoy it. Not my type of game.

Twin Snakes was *bleep*ing superb. It was true to the original, with enough to trigger a nostalgic effect but many new additions, as well as new features found in MGS2 (an amazing game, as well). I'd say it is the best Metal Gear Solid game out there, although MGS2 does give it a run for it's money. The superior gameplay of MGS2 and the superior world, story and characters of MGS were mixed, and it was a hell of a game. I'm playing it right now, actually.

The RE remake is great and all, in fact I enjoyed it and gave it 5 stars, but I've gotta say the gameplay was slow and tedious most of the time. Walk, run, collect items, store items, shoot a zombie. RE4 fixed all that, cut off all the BS, and focused more on the main aspect of the game: The fun. But as far as remakes go, Twin Snakes is probably my favorite.

Well, in a nutshell...it turned into a crowd pleaser, not an RE game.

In short: It went from Survival Horror (subgenre from Adventure) to a Third Person Shooter, it's a no brainer everyone's pleased with it.

Why isn't Ninja Gaiden up there? Sigma's very impressive. Out of the list, though FFIII is definately a great remake, as is Twin Snakes.

I guess they think its not a remake, its just a revamped version from the first.

Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes was a great remake, I gotta say I enjoyed it loads but the only thing I found that ruined it for me was the new extras that they added into the fighting sceens but I guess they had to offer something.
