GameZone's Lance Liebl gives the top five big games that need a kick in the ass. These are games that are popular and profitable but that needs to do something different in order to remain on top. The list includes Call of Duty Black Ops, Madden, World of Warcraft, Halo Reach, and Grand Theft Auto IV.

I will admit that Madden 12 does look promising. It looks like they are finally offering features that disgruntled Madden fans have been asking for. Maybe this will be the year that I go back to buying the game, as the game shows promise for the series. Then again, I’ve been tricked before.

Definitely agree with all of these. I have yet to even touch GTA IV because it's more of the same, and I kind of want something else from the series.

It pains me to say it, but I agree with pretty much all of this including WoW.

However, I like the movement speed in COD. It's meant to be at least somewhat unrealistic. That's part of what makes it an arcade shooter.

It's the fact that few things seem to really work properly in COD that bothers me. Connection issues, hit detection, various glitches and exploits, etc.

Keep the same pace, refine everything else, and you've finally got a game worth at least about half of the impossible hype that surrounds it.
