This is the final tally of PlanetXbox360.com's game of the year awards for 2011; looking at not only Xbox 360 games but also the top Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii, as well as iOS, games of the year.

With only a couple of weeks left of 2011, we here at PlanetXbox360 want to close out the year with a bang! To do so, our staff of writers has thought long and hard about these past twelve months of gaming goodness and we've put together a comprehensive awards list for 2011.

    I had no doubts that Skyrim would win the best RPG of the year since Bethesda blew open their doors on that one.

    Skyward Sword was no surprise either; it was pretty much the first Wii game this year that caught my attention.
