2011 was a big year for games, just look at our retrospective if you need any more proof of that. By comparison, 2012 is not looking all that bad either, in fact despite the impending 2012 doomsday in December, the line-up of games coming out in the next 12 months has us much more excited than at this same time last year. With several big name franchises such as Mass Effect, Borderlands, Bioshock, Metal Gear Solid, Halo, Hitman, Final Fantasy and many others bringing out new instalments during the course of the year, at face value 2012's offerings certainly appear to be far superior to last years line-up.
