Admit it the average video game character these days is a pussy. Either they have a whiny voice, cute hairstyle and a bare chest or they have a visor over there head and are either a mute or have so little emotion they might as well be. Here is a list of the top ten manliest men in video game history. Oh and just for the record I don't agree with number 1

Admit it, playing as a pansy would suck even if it was the best video game ever made. That isn't to say having some random well-built guy with a deep voice on screen is enough to make a game fun. In fact, we've seen so many pitiful attempts of trying to make "cool" characters that it's not even funny anymore.

Fortunately, there's a handful of really manly video game dudes out there that aren't just made of testosterone and big muscles - they also have the history, personality, and attitude to be considered men among men. In this list are the most epic piles of manly turned video game characters. Are you man enough to take it?

    I DO NOT agree with number 1 like you, Mario does not look manly at all, although I like his games XD Tommy Verciti should be in the top 3, he is a very manly character in gaming. I've never heard of the rest of the people.

    That's dumb, they try to be all sly and cool and throw you a curve ball for number one but in the end the read is just left dumb founded and confused. Mario isn't manly. So what if he saves Princesses.

    This list is stupid.

    1 should be Kratos, he freaking killed a god.What the hell does Mario do apart from jump on things.If that makes you manly then every freaking guy in the world is manly.

    2 should have been Duke Nukem.

    3 should have been Big Boss.

    How com that list doesn't have the one and only Snake? He deserves a spot in No#3/4! I don't even know of or care about Tommy Vercettim, Lu Bu, Jecht, Luca Blight or Arngrim! Snakes the man !

      but yeah. Mario does defeat a dinosaur regularly but is in no way shape or form manly.

      If he had a Purple shirt, Yellow Overalls and Hat with a W then that would definatly be what Wario would look like!

    Kratos is good as well though, he should be number 2

    Where is Link? He has challenged the power of the great evil king countless times and won. He never gets his chance for eternal peace, he gets what can only be called naps of peace between lives you can't blame him if he seems a little scarred and quiet at times. He has proven himself to Goddesses and has been found worthy of the Triforce of Courage. He has a selfless devotion to his land. Even in his youths he faces challenges that would scar grown men. And through it all he fights for all that is good in Hyrule.

    Not exactly what I pictured the list to be. The main things Mario has are: his ability to throw around a giant dragon, ride a green dinasour, and tangle with a primate. Yeah, not very manly at all.

    OK, Duke Nukem is the shit. No way he should have lost to Mario.

    I realize that maybe some of these characters wouldn't make the list (I don't know who half the people on the list are), but Sam Fisher, Snake, and Leon Kennedy all come to mind.

    LMAO. What the hell why is Mario number 1? That's like the most random thing I've ever seen, and the picture of him is disturbing. Someone you know, with a lower pitched voice should be #1.

    As much as I love the Mario franchise. He doesn't deverse to win. Other characters such as Duke Nukem (2nd and lost to Mario?! WTF?) and Leon should be higher then Mario.

    Hell, DK is more manly then Mario. He has a tie, naked and damn he playes bongoes, kills crocodiles. Jesus.
