The annual Top Ten Vaporware Games of 2007 went up recently, and looking from the list, most of the winning games are PS3 titles--more specifically, PS3 titles that are yet to be released. Well, the rules for this list don't exactly follow the ones of the usual ones. The major one being that the games don't need to have a 2007 release date on it. However, for it to make the list it needs to have attained a certain level of "hype."

And it's no surprise that the No.1 on this list is the much anticipated Playstation Home.

Wired's annual Vaporware Awards went up yesterday, and because this is the Internet quite a few of the slots went to videogames. But we're not nearly done yet.

We have some slightly different rules for this list. The game in question didn't have to ever have an official 2007 release date attached to it, just as long as the hype coming from the publisher vastly outweighed the substance.

There were only 3 PS3 exclusives on the entire list. I wouldn't exactly call that most of the winning games.

Someone made a mistake on that, either that or meant 360 games.

Stipulations are 'certain amount of hype' and the game HAS achieved that much, a number of people want more info, and are eagerly looking for info, but there just isn't any >_>

Still, I think this list is a bit odd...vapourware implies it is a game (or hardware) that is unlikely to see the light of day, but; Home, LittleBigPlanet, GTA IV, and FFXIII are all going to be released >_>

Well, 3 out of 4 had a believable Fall 07 release date, but FFXIII? No, I don't think anyone SERIOUSLY thought this would be a Fall 07 game, well, aside from people that don't have a clue how much of the game is yet to be completed >_>
