You've no doubt seen the Afrika Screens and found them stunning (as the article suggests they were)... well get ready to view the trailer (available on the Japanese Playstation Network) the video shows a stunning environment, stunning animation and really the game is just god damn beautiful... if only it was coming to the EU...
And for those of you that don't know what the game will be about:
Description:
You will be a photo journalist taking pictures on foot, by car or by air balloon.
You can unlock real non-CG pictures and rare research footage of the animals as you encounter more animals in game and build up your "Animal Library"
Go to the source to view the video.
Just pulled this off of the Japanese PlayStation Network store while waiting for our store to update. This trailer shows off Afrika's gameplay elements which seem to include sneaking around, taking pictures and playing with remote control robot vehicles.

But the bushes and ground textures (just texture pictures of grass/dirt)? Kinda 'meh'. Well, I guess there is a limit to how much detail can be put in, before it just becomes too time consuming, or just not worth the effort....Ground textures, I guess, are just not worth the effort in most games....
Well, it isn't so much that the bushes look bad, but that when the character stands in them, he just goes through them (about a third of the way in)....Though I admit, it COULD be some sort of blind, and deliberate...
I'll wait until proper gameplay is shown (not just as short scenes in a trailer), before I decide whether I want to get this game.....I'm looking forward to a proper review.
But it seems we know a little more about what it's about. So that's good. I'm with you on waiting for more about it though
