Metal Gears Top 5 Awkward Moments

The Metal Gear series has been going for a long time, and during that time there have been many MANY awkward moments... listening to a certain 'guard' peeing in MGS2 comes to mind... however this article is only for the top 5 of those awkward moments... let's take a look at the top 5 list:

5) Crotch Grabbing
4) Homoerotic Sword Fighting
3) Otacon Sleeps With His Mom

Hi again, Mister Gear. It's been a few years and it's good to have you back. We've had some good times and some bad times. But let's not forget the "holy hell, what on earth am I watching and why did I decide to play this with my girlfriend in the room" moments. Because those were the best.

    The Crotch Grabbing I had seen, as well as the Homoerotic Sword Fighting but numbers 3, 2 & 1 sure are new to me...

      3, 2, and 1 are all from Metal Gear 2. Jack is Raiden btw.

        Yes I know that... MGS2 is probably the only game I've played fully. I just haven't seen them in-game before. I never tended to call Rose much to just 'talk' you see

        And actually 2 is from MGS1 I believe.

          2 is indeed MGS1.I finished that game so many times, I can practically remember every second of the game.

      It was one hell of a lengthy conversation though, and seeing how many times I played that game and never heard that conversation, it really amazed me.

    I've never had anything to do with Metal Gear and after seeing No.'s 5, 4, and 3 I don't think I want to.

    I never did understand hat all that dick hand shaking was all about. I remember when Raiden first got groped, I let it slide because the prez thought he was a woman, but when he wasn't too shook up to find out he was a man, I was like wtf? That whole scene with Volgin just made me believe that he had a different relationship with the colonel off duty. Anyway, I thought they would have the guard taking a shit in MGS3 on the list. That dude sounded like he passed his life out through his ass.

    The crotch-grabbing should be #1, imo. iLLmatic's example of MGS2...damnit that was awkward.

    And what about Raiden being stripped and tortured. We took control of a naked Raiden, like wtf? How about The colonel telling you to take off the game. xD Breaking down the fourth wall.

    Haha, fantastic list. I don't think I'd noticed the abundance of crotch-grabbing in the series until they put it all together in one moment. Hilarious stuff.

    Otacon revealing that he'd slept with his step-mum was a very awkward moment indeed.

        Optional Codec conversations. I think it's when you call Otacon after Emma dies, not sure.

          I don't remember it being optional. I remember a cutscene during the section where Raiden is swimming with EE where the basement had been flooded. Am I mistaken?

          I think that time was Otacon explaining Emma's phobia of water...like I said I don't remember exactly.

          I'm pretty sure it's not optional.
          Right after Emma died, Otacon calls Snake and reveals his past then. At least, I think that's not an optional scene.

          Hmm I'm still not sure, I just don't remember there being ANY incest involved in the game, and last I remember, it was certainly not discussed in the forums, and things like these don't stay 'hidden'

          It probably hasn't come up in the forums because it was only his step-mum, so it wasn't actual incest. The forumgoers probably didn't think it was worth talking about.
          If it had been his REAL mum ... now THAT would be a screwed up story

          Yeah it would have been screwy... but now I have to play through MGS2 to try and remember what exactly was said in that 45 minute long cut-scene... I just don't remember it having anything to do with anyones mum

    Metal Gear has some of the most awkward moments i have ever seen. I applaud them for this.
