Wii Balance Board being used for World of Warcraft

Tyranitar24 | June 14, 2008 | Video | Wii
You might remember these people when they were using the Wii Balance Board to surf Google Earth. They have now made a new video of them using the Balance Board to control WoW! The man is controlling the character by shifting his weight forward and when he leans his body, it controls the camera.

You may remember a video posted on YouTube a little while back, where a couple of clever German chaps had managed to surf Google Earth using the Wii Balance Board. Now, in a follow-up video they've gone even further, demonstrating the accessory's uses in Blizzard's massively successful MMO World of Warcraft.

The player is seen controlling the character in the game by shifting his weight forward, while more body-leaning directs the camera around him. There's a promise of more to come, but enjoy this for now:

Now that is something. If a World of Warcraft Wii game is made I would love to see the physical stereotype. Better yet be it, a chance to find a girlfriend me thinks.

I need a push for both World of Warcraft and the Balance Board, perhaps unified (and maybe co-published with Nintendo for a Zelda mode option).

Could you clarify the 'especially in this gen' part? You have intrigued me.

He probably just means that with the technology present today, having the WoW servers and everything up for consoles, plus the switch of playability, would be best suited for more advanced technologies past the Wii and such we have today.

Makes sense, my last question is what I got thumbed down for asking for clarification when I was confused.

That is pretty weird, they're using the balance board for WoW? Sounds tricky to use. =S

That's pretty cool but also weird at the same time.

So basically what they're doing is trying to use a gimmick for a horribly addicting WoW game? Wow, a formula for failure.
