Soul Calibur IV's character creation system gone wild

Soul Calibur IV is out today for most of the world, and already some neat stuff has surfaced on the web for it. For instance, check out some footage of the character creation system below; all the classic characters are here! Just a shame the fighting styles are cloned..

Fun with Soul Calibur IV's character creator. Featuring fighters from Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Super Smash Bros Brawl, X-Men, and of course Street Fighter.

    Wow, I gotta admit I'm impressed, especially with Solid Snake, Cloud and Mystique.

    Raiden was crap. Looked nothing like him.

    And the big green guy? I figured it had to be the Hulk. But no, it's Blanka.

      Red 9, I think that was Raiden from Mortal Kombat, not MGS. That's why he looked nothing like Raiden from MGS

      Lol at Snake with Nunchuks.

      Those were great. I especially liked Mario on steroids.

        KI being one of my favourite fighters ever, I really like the KI characters.

          I never saw Brokeback Mountain, but I know why I won't ever see it. How can you play videogames and not know who Raiden is?

      that may be because robin throughout most of the batman story is a girl gymnast the original robin was killed fairly quickly by the joker and then batman found the girl with her hair cut short and people thought it was the same person because of the short hair.

        Erm what?

        Dick Grayson was introduced back in 1940 as the Boy Wonder Robin the acrobat from the Flying Graysons circus act. Robin appeared as a girl briefly in the newer generations (Stephanie Brown) but failed horribly and apparently was killed. The majority of the Batman story though has always held the various suitors of Robin as a male role though.

    Liu Kang looks more like Jecht from Final Fantasy X.

    EDIT: I also thought storm looked a bit like Paine from X-2.

    Very impressive for a character creator never designed for creating chars from other stuff. Points to the people who put in the time to do this kinda thing. Can't say I liked Superman much though...just utterly didn't look like him with the costume.

    Mystique, Cloud and Raiden were the best, a bit annoying how they only did one at a time during the middle

    Sub-Zero was the best obv.

    Seriously speaking though, most of them were impressive. I really liked the Mario one. Made me lol
