Impressed with the team work involved but I hope there are some points where the Prince is alone.

Also, what the hell happened to his voice?! His current one sounds too modern like Altair from AC. I mean what the hell? Why change his voice and attitude? The setting is supposed to be from ancient times. Not pleased about that tbh but I like the gameplay. I can tell there are some things about this game I won't like but hopefully it delivers in terms of its plot, combat systemm, acrobat system, boss fights and puzzles because I can already say for sure that the voice acting is trash.

I've never played any PoP but, I had imagined his voice/attitude to be more gruff. He sounds er...not so intimidating, more on the whiny side.

You don't understand. I meant the accent, you know? Like the way The Prince talked in the previous PoP trilogies. He had an accent which made it believable of his origin and it felt that he was from ancient times. In that video, he talks with a modern American tone all of the sudden in ancient times which I believe shouldn't be far away from T2T's setting. I mean how unrealistic is that? Doesn't really add up. I also had this gripe with AC btw.

This is not the first time Ubisoft *bleep*ed this up. I remember when they also added rock/metal music all of the sudden in WW then changing the music back like it was in SoT in T2T. >__>

I don't know if its 'whiny' but his old voice was much much better and more suitable than his current one.

The reason for the voice change is because this isn't the same prince from the Sands of Time trilogy. In fact, this guy isn't even a prince and it has been revealed this game has nothing to do with the sands of time trilogy or any character in it. Don't let the name fool you. I wouldn't be suprised if it actually wasn't set in Persia... or on Earth for that matter.

He sounds familiar like I've heard his voice in other games. When he says "Why do we always have to go toward the bad guys," he sounds exactly like Nathan from Uncharted, so this could be Nolan North.

*bleep* Nolan North. BRING BACK THE OLD PRINCE!

@ Tiger: That doesn't make sense though. Why would it be called Prince of Persia if its not taking place there and not having to do anything with the series? Might as well name it something else. :/

Man I had such high hopes for this game to be something revolutionary.

Well, these are the people who took Sands of Time and turned it into an emo, grungy, arrogant dick-fest A.K.A. Warrior Within, so it has been established they can be smacktards at times. This is just another smacktard moment, having a prince of persia without a prince or a persia.

Wait, so its not revolutionary because they decided to think outside of what everyone expected? I'm intrigued by your logic.

For Pete's sake. Did you bother to read my posts dmf_dynasty? >__>

They changed the voice overs which believe it or not plays a big part of how the game will play out. How realistic do you think it is having The Prince having a modern accent in ancient times? That's like having a modern character talking in ancient/Shakesperean English. Do you see where I'm going with this? I didn't mind it much in AC because of the whole ancient/futuristic setting involved but PoP is an exception. Having the Prince's old voice gone like that is just uncalled for and completely ruins the historical feel of the game. Like Tiger and I are saying, Ubisoft pulled a WW and *bleep*ed up again.

It may seem like I'm making a big deal about the Prince's modern voice and possibly some of the other's characters possible modern voices. But in my opinion, its a big deal and its just wrong having them change everything like that and messing up the classical PoP theme in the process. Hopefully no more problems like this occur or I'll seriously be disappointed with this one since I'm a huge fan of the PoP series.

I agree with you that a the voice acting is a big part of the experience and that it needs to fit the setting. I just don't get how that affects it being 'revolutionary.'

Because if they managed to get everything right. It could've been a huge hit and possibly expanding the PoP's popularity not to mention getting several awards and sell more units than before which equals a great possibility of another sequel coming after this one has been released. In my honest opinion, I don't think this game will do that well which is a big shame. Ubisoft ruined what could have been a possible success.

I'm very much impressed with this. Depending on who's playing, it almost seems like a cut scene the whole time or an animated movie.

The only thing I'm a bit iffy on is that I heard one of the devs saying that you're pretty much limited to only fighting a single enemy at a time and that they're always extremely hard, they were doing this because it'd make battles seem more intense. I seriously hope that you can fight more than one baddie at a time.

You can't. Thay said they wanted to keep the focus on 1v1 battles so every fight was like a mini boss, although I guess it could be possible that you and the girl are each fighting someone different at the same time.

That's a bit disappointing As cool as 1v1 may be, a little variety would have been nice, or, at least a 1v2 to mix things up.

Im not impressed with this game so far. The graphics are alright, the voice acting is terrible, as Subzer0 stated. The 1 on 1 battles are stupid idea. I had a feelings earlier with the changes with his looks and combat thats its not going to be the same experience but after watching this it looks like it could be a possible disappointment. Sad really, I love PoP and this game so far, mind you, doesn't look like it'll deliver.

A AI character which is actually useful? That's a first

I've never played a PoP game but the jumping bit seems a bit tricky, how long would it have taken to figure all that out without playing the game before.
